Ah yes, remember University Point? By all accounts, a thriving settlement until the Institute decided they MIGHT have something that they wanted. The result? The entire community destroyed. Everyone dead.

Also, let’s not forget that the commonwealth provisional government was effectively destroyed when all of the representatives were killed by them.

And…how about super mutants? Do you think the existence of hyper-aggressive, man-eating mutants that regularly disrupt trade routes and raid farms affect the development of the Commonwealth? I sure do. Their existence in the Commonwealth is entirely caused by the Institute.

There is a reason the Commonwealth is failing to thrive.
