Some notes from Russia today…

The Russian coaches (and athletes I assume) hate the back and forth between countries in team finals and think it makes things exciting for the fans but say it sucks for the athletes…they think they’re just testing it now but if enough people complain it’ll be gone soon

Russia is mad jealous of the USA’s depth and said “we lose one athlete and we’re screwed, but they can have the whole team get injured and win.” Nothing on what they’re doing to fix the depth issue though Andrei seems to think that if they were all fully healthy they’d be at the U.S.’s level which like…no.

They called Simakova’s injury “a traumatic experience” for the team
