I was having a chill, unrelated conversation with a friend and I mentioned in passing that I get hate messages nearly every day from TERFs who want me dead. He said "OK, but I am oppressed in ways you don't know about. I'm not playing Oppression Olympics or anything but, like, everybody's got stuff going on," instead of, idk, "Oh my God, that's awful!"

Some guys take any mention of a trans woman's suffering as challenge, because they need to prove to themselves that they're still good people despite not caring about us.
