I am pretty sure I’m upset
So I open my phone and I see that there is a special announcement from the TBTP podcast. OMG!! I don’t really believe what I see so I go to twitter and I see the following:
This tweet was just put out today so I am like, okay I’ll go and refresh my podcast feed. I do this and find two things.
1) this “update” came out on March 17th, at least according to Apple’s Podcasts, which I call iPodcasts for lack of a better name.
2) Apple says it is a Trailer.
I hit play because I am a sucker.
As it turns out I am an even bigger sucker than I thought. So they tell me about this new podcast and the Nick starts doing his talking that sounds like is having a seriously bad trip. I mean really, who is giving this guy ayahuasca, you need to stop.
This new podcast is supposedly a spin off of “TANIS”. WTF!!!! I gave you a chance TANIS. You sucked. I’m sorry.
However, because they know how much we miss Alex and Strand (as proof see the Discover Pod’s Podcast Madness 2018 where TBTP bet TANIS!) so they are using them, as some of the first voices you hear mind you, to promote their new podcast.
I would much rather you just have Alex and Stand telling me to listen to the new podcast rather than giving me false hope that they will be in more than one episode. I feel like my love for TBTP is being exploited that is a sucky feeling and making me really regretting listening to the “Special Annoucement”.

It’s a promo for another podcast. They say it’s a spin-off of TANIS (ugh) but in the first 30 seconds, it sounds like Alex Reagan (light of my life) and her husband Richard Strand might make a cameo or two.
Apparently, it’s about this creepypasta-esque phenomenon called “The Last Movie” is supposed to drive its viewers insane. It’ll be six episodes, all of them to be dropped on March 27th.
….I’m only listening for Alex and Strand, Terry, don’t kid yourself.
I AM SO UPSET ABOUT THIS!!!!! I just can’t even deal with how badly they treat this show. The Black Tapes Podcast is what put them on the map and now they are doing this BS with a “Tanis” spinoff. I have no words.

Kevin Spacey using being accused of trying to rape a 14-year-old to come out is one of the most disgraceful things I’ve ever witnessed.
For centuries people have smeared queer people, specifically gay and bi men as predators and dangers to children. So for Spacey to respond to allegations is only going to add fuel to the fire that queer men are out to get kids. That we shouldn’t be parents, or teachers, or even be left alone with kids.
Just watch, large swaths of the religious right, especially the evangelical right, will use this opportunity to go after us. They will use this as an excuse to defend the ban on trans people serving in the military. They will use this to back up their bogus claims of “religious liberty” when they discriminate against queer people.
Fuck you, Kevin Spacey. You are walking excrement.
Amen! I am sorry but this whole thing is awful! The media is feeding into it too! Instead of talking about the fact that he harassed a 14 year old boy they are talking about him coming out. No! This is not okay. Get your act together media!
Anthony Rapp did not disclose this so Kevin Spacey could come out. He did it so that other victim, especially male victims, would hopefully have the courage to talk about their stories. Male sexually assault is one of the least reported crimes. It takes a lot of courage for someone to come out and say they were taken advantage of or they are a victim and the media is just completely taking that for granted.

Maybe but I totally agree with you, it would be a selective memory thing. I just don’t know. That line seems so out of place for him. This is why I am having trust issues. LOL
