I love these anti Gadsden flags actually, because beyond the fact that they expose anyone who uses them as an authoritarian would-be tyrant or a useful idiot for said folk, they’re the perfect representation for the necessity of guns for self defense.

Consider, the rattlesnake. Dangerous enough on it’s own, with only it’s natural abilities but effectively helpless when dealing with a threat specialized to handle it’s tricks. Not unlike how your average person’s own natural abilities are generally enough to survive day-to-day but when dealing with someone who specialized to prey on them (violent criminals, the government, etc) they’re pretty bloody useless. Throw some guns in the mix however…

…and suddenly the uselessness of their natural abilities is no longer relevant. Snakes of course are fucked because they can’t use tools to cover for their weakness, but fortunately Joe Average can.

Feel-Good Friday: In the Wake of Charlie Kirk's Murder, Vigils and Vigilance Spread Across the Globe

Vigils and solidarity spread globally in honor of Charlie Kirk following his tragic murder.

There are more in the article, including some speeches. I'm still really angry, but maybe we're going to be okay.

There's been people actually mocking the fact that we pray in response to this tragedy. They mock the fact that children, children, were praying and it "did not save them." Parroting basically what their killer believed.

Don't forget this happened because those children were Christian, this happened because it was a church and because it was at mass.

If any of you are the praying type, could you do me a favor and include this guy in your prayers? He's the one who asked Charlie Kirk that last question right before he was shot and I cannot even imagine the particular kind of hell he's going through right now.

Everyone else, I'd appreciate if you could keep in mind that this guy was only there to do exactly what Charlie was there to do - engage in free speech and open debate. It's not the same but his life is forever changed too now and it shouldn't be. Let's extend some compassion.

I will rejoice that Charlie Kirk is with his Creator right now, even in the midst of mourning a very broken and devastating event. I will call for justice to be carried out, knowing that it is already taken care of in the eternal scope of things. I will call for the repentance of the shooter. For those that rejoice in violence. For those that hate so much that they think it a good thing to take the life of a man who was a father, a husband, and a friend to many. It's never too late for someone to come to Christ, and no sin to great.
