These prompts have snowballed into an ongoing series following the beloved Fem!medic!oc trope (written via 1st person reader with no real descriptors). They're in chronological order, and I've tried to make sure to mention if any earlier works in particular are referenced in each one.
If there is a trigger warning that you are concerned about but want to enjoy the story, please please please reach out! In many instances I can alter snip-its or tone things down, or at least highlight the sections in question so you can avoid them (I could do a vague summary for continuity).
Also, these stories are getting added to Ao3 via Monday updates. I'm not dumping them all at once, but you're welcome to pop on over if you prefer that format - just don't forget to drop a kudos/comment!
Touch Starved - Echo - The new medic catches Echo hiding a strained shoulder and gives him a much needed massage.
Warnings: Pretty mild – some cussing, a bit of angst, otherwise just a lot of comfort via a much needed massage
Round 2 with Echo! - just a soft second massage because I wanted to write it - Warnings: Body dysphmorphia from prosthetic limbs, angst, some anxiety/tension from a thigh massage
TS Ch 2 - Hunter - Doc convinces Hunter to let her help him through a tension headache.
Warnings: Tension headache, no real warnings - just another much needed massage
TS Ch 3 - Wrecker - An innocent request leads Doc to a horrifying discovery that she's quick to remedy.
Warnings: Reference to child neglect/ starvation, star wars cursing
TS Ch 4 – Tech - Left alone on the Marauder while the others retrieve a replacement part, Doc and Tech discuss the local culture while Tech works on mechanical upgrades. The unfortunate side effects of his poor posture prompt Doc to step in with a helping hand.
Warnings: Discussion of cultural/religious differences, joking reference to reverse harem, touch aversion, medical language
TS Ch5 – Crosshair - Fed up with Crosshair's dismissal of her help after a nearly disastrous escape, Doc finally snaps.
Warnings: Maybe light arachnophobia? Cursing, yelling, brief mention of injection
Flinching - OC&TBB - Doc has a dangerous near-encounter while away from the boys. They aren't pleased when they find out.
Warnings: Reference to attempted SA, reference to physical assault, some cursing, borderline panic attack.
F Ch 2 - OC&Echo - Echo patches Doc up after her attack.
Warnings: Reference to attempted SA, reference to physical assault, some cursing, wound care, energy crash from excessive bacta use, non-intimate undressing, some self-deprecating thoughts
F Ch 3 - OC&TBB - Doc tries to lighten the mood en route to speaking with her superior officers.
Warnings: Mostly fluff, but still some reference to attempted SA, reference to physical assault, reference to victim blaming
F Ch 4 - OC&TBB - After the grueling retelling, Doc has a brief talk with Cody regarding her place in the GAR before finally returning to learn that her squad has a surprise for her.
Warnings: Summarized attempted SA, reference to physical assault, reference to victim blaming. The first half is heavy, not gonna lie, but there's nothing explicit.
Hopefully I can find this again later, when the tumblr app inevitably refreshes on me...

IT’S BACK
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS AGAIN FOR MONTHS
I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW
ITS BACK
This is one of those posts that you need to save and tag or you’ll never see it again for 84 years.
hey guys look…i found one of those iconic viral Tumblr posts
@hellsite-hall-of-fame
I know many of you out there are feeling a bit down. Have a crow to Wouldn’t it be Nice by the Beach Boys to lift your mood.
He stops and looks both ways?!?
You wanna know what makes this better?
Crows normally walk. This one seems to have both legs working, so he’s not hopping out of necessity, he’s doing it for fun. You’ll see corvids playing like this sometimes, doing things for no evident reason other than because they enjoy it.
Dust on his way to get scratches from his fave human.
Like to charge reblog to cast
You’re not casting
I wish. I want a home where I can hang pictures on walls, paint the nursery pretty colours, have a purple front door. I want to hang planters from the ceiling and put up a cat run so I can stop worrying about my furry family members.
He wonders if his General came because they were comrades, or because the intel in Wolffe’s head was much too important to fall in enemy hands…but there is something in the way Plo calls him son… - After being captured by Separatists and losing an eye to the Sith, Wolffe struggles to come to terms with the worth of a clone.
My Din & Grogu comics 💚
So dang cute!!! Jabduufnrvrjakjsx
The Joker comic I talked about is finally here!
I can't lie, I was pretty disappointed with how the reunion with Joker went in ME2. Out of all the characters, his should have been the most emotionally impactful (he saw Shepard die!!) yet all we got was "Sup?" as though Joker wouldn't have spent the 2 years dealing with insane survivor's guilt. Well to that I say pthhbt. My Shepard would have been beside herself seeing him again for the first time, so he's getting hugged whether he likes it or not.
Also while this is technically part of my ongoing Shakarian comic, please feel free to interpret this as romantic as well as platonic.
Part 1 • Previous Part
Well... This hits right in the feels.
This shouldn’t be as funny as it is to me!
Inspired by this post [x]
@generalskyguy I AM YELLING AT THIS GOOD CONTENT.
I just realized it kind of looks like they’re having a really intense game of hide and seek.
I LOVE THIS
Did I reblog this already? I don’t care. Doing it again.
SOUND ON! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What do you think Strife thinks about head pats and hugs.
Ooooh, thank you for this, Anon! Strife continues to be touch-starved in my mind.
------
The only kind of touch this Horsemen - or any of them for that matter - has known is the kind that leads to pain.
Even as young Nephilim, he and his kind were encouraged to fight one another, to be stronger, quicker and deadlier than your opponent, even if that opponent was one of your own kind.
Death was always considered unusual amongst the Nephilim, in that he wouldn't shy away from gentler handling where his younger brothers and sister were concerned. Some of the Nephilim would taunt him for being soft on the younglings. They would never come to call him soft again after he showed them the error of their judgement.
But Death's rare and subdued moments of tenderness don't hold a candle to the unsparing frequency of those given to Strife by his favourite human.
You took the Horseman wildly off guard the first time you stretched up onto the tips of your toes and reached out a hand to ruffle the spiny nest of hair that jutted from his skull, dislodging a cloud of dust that had been hiding comfortably among the strands.
"When was the last time you brushed your hair?" you'd teased, unwittingly scratching your fingernails over the skin of Strife's scalp and subsequently sending a shiver of delight racing up his spine.
'The Hell was that!?' he wondered, at the time, 'And how do I get it to happen again?'
Luckily for him, that wasn't the only time you subjected the Horseman to your avant-garde, human affection.
He wouldn't even try to pretend that he wasn't affected by your touches. You hugged him for the first time, and he couldn't keep his limbs from locking up in shock. It felt like you were unwittingly trying to keep all of Strife's broken pieces safe inside the circle of your arms.
You were holding him together, your body like porcelain pressed up against rough, unpolished quartz.
It... didn't hurt?
It didn't hurt.
It felt... good... Really good, in fact.
So good that he almost crushed your spine in his haste to throw his bulky arms around your back and squeeze you against him as if he was trying to bury you safely underneath his armour.
do you guys use that weird bed sheet that’s supposed to go on top of the fitted one?
Yes (explain why in tags)
No
This one.
mmm most distressing poll yet seen on this site?
Someone explore Bad Batch Actor AU with me in what kind of bloopers there would be and set shenanigans:
-Omega accidentally breaks the lever opening the brig, she tried to awkwardly put it back
-Tech keeps accidentally breaking the Marauder steering wheel off when he does the drifting turns
-many dance parties during scene setups
-Echo misses the scomp port and puts it through the prop wall instead, he tries to keep playing the scene as normal
-Crosshair keeps making Hunter laugh during serious scenes
-Hunter keeps ruining the finale scenes by hugging Crosshair instead of his actual lines
-Echo falling in the water was absolutely not planned but they kept it in cause it was funny
-Rex tripped like 5 times trying to film him walking into and out of fog
-Wrecker knocking his head on the pipe at Saleucami was unplanned and they kept it in, Rex was laughing on the sides telling the set designers that he was right about them placing pipes too low
-Wrecker stomping the elevator down was unplanned as it actually did get stuck
-Palpatine rose into the senate with a milkshake in hand for one take
-They play pranks on Rampart making him laugh in his scenes
-Omega and any of the Batch lounging on set during scene setup in sunglasses
-Cad Bane letting Omega wear his hat between takes
-Wrecker accidentally held Omega up too high during the pod rescue scene and hit her head on the set ceiling making everyone laugh
-Someone’s mask fell off in the middle of a scene during Ordo Moon filming, they immediately went into over exaggerated dying
(Any more are welcome 😂)
- Tech tripping over his lines constantly because he doesn't understand half of what he's saying.
- Hunter tripping over his feet constantly because he's secretly the clumsy one.
- Ahsoka causing constant retakes when Rex is filming with them because she's come to watch and somehow ends up on the set all the time. There's now a PA assigned to escort her everywhere.
- Omega playing with different accents and then forgetting her natural accent when filming starts.
- Crosshair making a game out of looking towards the wrong camera.
- Rampart forgetting to silence his phone before the senate scene. Crosshair calls him, knowing the vibrations make Rampart fumble his lines. Rampart's ringtone for Cross? Barbie Girl.
- Rex and Echo tackling each other every time they're filming together and falling through set walls. Twice.
- Echo leaving his frappe on a console in the marauder set. Half of Tech's grumbling about the state of his ship is because of this.
Posting this by itself. Echo is the cutest thing in Star Wars. And you cannot and will not change my mind
I've noticed that Omega has been getting a lot of hate in TBB fandom after s2e9 was released. My own partner even stated "ugh Omega's such a twat" during his watch of the episode. As someone who's seen season 1 over 50 times and every episode of season 2 at least twice, I want to just remind everyone of a few things:
1. Omega was raised on Kamino as a medical assistant. We have to assume she's seen some shit just from that.
2. She left Kamino (her home) and Nala Se (the closest thing she's had to a parental figure) behind.
3. She lost her brother (Crosshair) to the Empire.
4. She literally had no idea what fun was or how to have it until s1e2 when she met Cut and Suu's kids. This is something she still seems to struggle with as we see in s2e2 when Romar has to explain to her that what he gave her is a toy and that it makes people happy.
5. She has killed. I don't have an official body count but she kills quite a few people during the series. Why the Batch haven't given her a blaster set to stun is beyond me. Sure, the bow is cool but it's fatal because it always uses live rounds.
6. Bounty hunters were after her and she almost got taken once in s1e4 and then actually taken in s1e8. The show doesn't touch on it, but I bet she thought Cad Bane had killed Hunter and she had no way of knowing for sure until she heard his voice on her comm.
7. She saw Wrecker almost kill the Batch and Rex and then almost her. She knew it was the chip but still, shit like that leaves a mark.
8. She was in Tipoca City as it was being bombarded, almost lost Crosshair to drowning, and almost drowned herself while trying to save the last piece she had of her past (AZI)
9. She watched Crosshair willingly leave again, right after she lost Tipoca City forever.
10. She has almost died too many times to count. I still remember watching the scene in s2e1 where she, Tech, and Echo are falling with the container and there's a zoom on her eyes as she screams and I just thought "she's going to have nightmares and flashbacks from this, she's going to break this season."
11. She was brought along to see the mystery clone's body in s2e8. I literally went "What the fuck are you all doing?! Don't show her the dead body!" while watching it. Echo had the most sense in that scene when he tried to gently move her away. The look that she was giving in the scene was heartbreaking.
12. Echo left the team.
13. She lost her home (the Marauder) again. And the show doesn't touch on this but she lost Gonky too.
14. She is a LITERAL CHILD. If she is aging normally, her brain is not developed enough to really process all these traumatic events in a healthy way.
Let me know if I missed anything but yeah that's most of it. Some of these things would make even the most calm and mature adult go insane, let alone a child. Her entire world, everything she has ever known has fallen apart since the Empire took over. She keeps losing more and more things and we have to remember that. Imagine going through all of that and then hearing "what is your issue?" That would be the last straw for you too.
Thing is... Omega IS kind of a twat. But in keeping with her age and upbringing. The kind of way that lack of boundaries and structure does to a tween too alongside a new found freedom. The rug has been pulled out from under this child time and time again and she NEEDS stability and safety to even begin to process it all. @omglisalithium has laid it out perfectly.
The bad batch have found themselves in the deep end of parenting but don't realise it. They certainly don't realise that Omega NEEDS it from them. So yes, she is going to behave like a twat. She's going to make decisions with dangerous consequences to herself and those around her. Because she's not being taught elsewise. None of her brothers are seen taking the time to properly explain why they have given her specific instructions or breaking down the consequences of her decisions. They just sigh and dive in to help her. It's great that they do so but without follow-up discussion, the batchers are also hindering her development in some ways. How is she supposed to grow and learn except clumsily and faultingly?
I want to make people see how much has been taken away from them.
Did you know that there are dozens of species of fireflies, and some of them light up with a blue glow? Did you know about the moths? There are thousands of them, bright pink and raspberry orange and checkerboard and emerald. They are called things like Black-Etched Prominent, Purple Fairy, Pink-Legged Tiger, Small Mossy Glyph and Black-Bordered Lemon.
Did you know that there are moths that feed on lichens? Did you know about the blue and green bees? The rainbow-colored dogbane beetles? Your streams are supposed to teem with newts, salamanders, crawdads, frogs, and fishes. I want to take you by the hand and show you an animal you've never seen before, and say, "This exists! It's real! It's alive!"
There are secret wildflowers that no website will show you and that no list entitled "native species to attract butterflies!" will name. Every day I'm at work I see a new plant I didn't know existed.
The purple coneflowers and prairie blazing star are a tidepool, a puddle, and there is an ocean out there. There are wildflowers that only grow in a few specific counties in a single state in the United States, there are plants that are evolved specifically to live underneath the drip line of a dolomite cliff or on the border of a glade of exposed limestone bedrock. Did you know that different species of moss grow on the sides of a boulder vs. on top of it?
There are obscure trees you might have never seen—Sourwood, Yellowwood, Overcup Oak, Ninebark, Mountain Stewartia, Striped Maple, American Hophornbeam, Rusty Blackhaw, Kentucky Coffeetree. There are edible fruits you've never even heard of.
And it is so scary and sad that so many people live and work in environments where most of these wondrous living things have been locally extirpated.
There are vast tracts of suburb and town and city and barren pasture where a person could plausibly never learn of the existence of the vast majority of their native plants and animals, where a person might never imagine just how many there are, because they've only ever been exposed to the tiny handful of living things that can survive in a suburb and they have no reason to extrapolate that there are ten thousand more that no one is talking about.
It's like being a fish that has lived its whole life in a bucket, with no way of imagining the ocean. The insects in your field guide are a fraction of those that exist, of all the native plants to your area only a handful can be bought in a nursery.
Welcome to the Earth! It's beautiful! It's full of life! More things are real and beautiful and alive than a single person could imagine!!!
Look, I'm going to tell you some flowers native to the United States that you didn't know about
Ovate False Fiddleleaf, Rosy Twisted-Stalk
Cross-Leaf Milkwort, Blue Flowered Coyote Thistle
Gaywings, Michaux's Bluet
Redtwig Doghobble, Brook Saxifrage
Swollen Bladderwort, Two-Leaf Miterwort
I will happily keep going
This reminds me of the YouTube channel Crime Pays But Botany Doesn't. Well worth a watch.
