I’m sure no one will see this, but there is so much fucking misinformation and disingenuous media being spread throughout the country regarding this city, and specifically this neighborhood that I feel like I need to put my coverage anywhere I can.
For those wondering, the CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) / CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupied Protest) areas are peaceful. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost 4 years now, and haven’t felt more or less disrupted by the occupation. Everyone has been extremely nice, and the feeling of community is more apparent than ever (especially for an already tight-knit neighborhood).
