Jurassic world is a very special movie to me cause despite how people feel about it I genuinely believe there are deeper meanings to it than just having a bunch of dinosaurs on screen I really do

I believe the Indominus Rex (and to a certain extent the Raptors) is the complete embodiment of humanity’s arrogance

I also believe the whole plot is a commentary on unsafe work environments/cultures lead to the most horrifying domino effects and how executives/corporations put money over people lives

Firm believer that art and media should not be censored or stopped from being made. I also believe that some art and media is reprehensible and should not be made. I don't think corporations and the government should be the ones who dictate what is and isn't reprehensible and they should not be the ones to enforce it. If someone is creating art that is reprehensible, I think it is their responsibility to say 'hey, this is NOT good and I should not complete it'. Friends and family should tell them 'hey, this is awful, don't complete this'. Audiences should say 'hey, this is awful, I won't pay for it'. But never the government saying 'hey, this is forbidden! I won't allow it!'

Crossed gets written off as “Gore and Rape Zombies” but the depths with which it explores things like human nature, intelligence as a dichotomy of benefit/hindrance, sympathetic cowardice, the conflict between community and individual survival instinct, the humanity of the inhuman, etc is more textured and interesting than 99% of post-apocalyptic horror.  

There are characters (Smoky and the Twins, Harold Lore, Amanda, Matthias, The American Quitters, Gideon Welles, Cody) that are some of the most interesting, complex, scary, fun to read, unique characters I have ever seen.  

The shock gags are the delicious buttercream frosting and elaborately piped decoration but the cake underneath is also a damn good cake.
