Federal Bureau of Supernatural Occurences, New Silvervale Cell - November 1945.
When reality-bending artifacts start appearing across the United States, the government scrambles to study the phenomenon and stifle the truth before word gets out - thus the government agency FBSO is founded in secret, and investigative teams are urgently hired.
In New Silvervale, Colorado, a small team of 5 is put together, each with their own expertise.
Irvin Burgham - Officially 'unemployed' before being called on board, in reality a criminal with plenty of convenient connections in the underbelly of the city and a unique set of skills the government figured was best put to work for a good cause... Because he'll definitely drop bad habits while in their employ (no). Charming, cocky, gets on the nerves of the more serious members of the team.
James Warden - A private detective with several years in the police force, he has the most hands-on experience in investigating and does so with an ease and confidence he lacks in his daily life. He knows how to navigate both the scenes and subsequent administration their findings lead them to file. Professional until one problem too many gets him to pull out his flask from his coat in the middle of the work day. Very perceptive, serious, and tired most of the time.
Eleanor O'Brien - A historian and anthropologist, she is highly educated and puts her expertise to work within the FBSO as she studies the origins of the otherworldly artifacts; with worrying passion at times. As a woman managing to reach such a high degree, it is no wonder she has the grits and temperament one would expect from someone who overcame plenty prejudice to get there. Creative, very direct and witty at times, carries herself with elegance still.
Nathaniel Holloway - The medical examiner of the team, and the doctor with the worst bedside manners you've ever met. Cares deeply about his work and its ethics, but has always preferred the quiet company of the corpses he dissects to the rowdy version of the living things; still he will do his job and care for them the best he can. Smart but excessively blunt, if not outright rude. He's working on it.
Tadeáš Kopecký - If his warm and peppy attitude clashes with his tall and muscular stature, it clashes all the more with the knowledge of his being a war veteran back from the european front. Hired as the muscle and weapons expert of the team, he makes good use of both. Appearing like a gentle giant to most, one can sometimes pick up on more worrying things behind his smiles. Kindhearted, caring, to the point of being self-sacrificing.
