The warm luminescent lights buzzed above you, making the wallpaper look more yellow than it already was. The room spun around you and the tan carpet felt like water beneath you. Nothing you did could help you find stable footing, when you heard groaning somewhere near you. You couldn't help but squint as your eyes opened, like your eyes were adjusting to the sun after a long night of sleeping. When your vision finally came into focus, your gaze landed upon your girlfriend lying down next to you, clearly also just coming to.
"Where are we?" you groaned, beating Yunah to the words that were on the both of your minds.
"I have no clue," she returned, her tone just as dazed as yours.
You finally sit up, attempting to take in the scene around you. The wallpaper was a shade of yellow that seemed both familiar and eerie. The tan carpet looked like something you'd find in some middle-class suburban house. At first glance the floor plan looked endless. Hallways seem to keep going until the loud buzzing lights run out. It wasn't exactly a comforting sight to wake up to.
"Are you seeing this?" you asked, tone panicked and hurried. You whipped your head around to spot her, and saw her still on her spot on the ground.
"What?" she asked, rubbing her eyes before opening your eyes and taking a good look around.
"Where the fuck did we end up and how did we get here," you muttered, attempting to stand up and get your feet beneath you.
"I don't think this place ever ends," Yunah states like it's the most plain thing in the world. You two had been exploring this strange place for the past thirty minutes. The half walls, the doorways that led to nowhere, the furniture melting into the ground, all of it made no sense. What made even less sense was how you were in a place as huge as this, with apparently no one looking for you, and no exit in sight.
"I'm starting to believe you're right," you sigh, peeking around a corner, only to be met with the same kind of a maze you've been wandering through for far too long.
"Well, since there's no one else around, we could take advantage of this…" she trailed off, hands resting calmly on your hips, lips flickering down to your lips.
"Yunah, we are not making out right now, we need to figure out where we are," you giggle, hands resting against her chest and gently pushing her away, "besides, we don't actually know that nobody else is here. They could be somewhere else in this maze."
"Whatever," Yunah groans, instead interlacing her fingers with yours. She might give up on an impromptu make out session, however she certainly was not giving up on having you close to her side.
