Do not conform to the ways of this world.
This world, with its haphazard presentation,
With a friendly face façade in mould,
Whose aim is for you to be submerged in its deception.
Do not conform to the ways of this world.
This world that, like a paedophile, lures you into its possession
With promises that seem to be ‘oh so sweet!’
Only to plunge you into a cold and lonely place of oppression.
Do not conform to the ways of this world.
This world that makes you long to be like it – shiny, but still rough;
Yet always curses that which you are…
And forever whispers, “You will never be good enough.”
Do not conform to the ways of this world.
This world, that will make of you nothing but a slave.
It will convince you that the way of life is to feed the greed of your flesh…
When all you’ll be doing is starving your spirit, and walking straight to your grave.
Do not conform to the ways of this world.
For this world will lead you upon a path of self-destruction.
This world that will rip the clothes off your back and suck the life right out of you…
Then leaving you high and dry, poisoned with an evil concoction.
Right in that darkness He will find you.
And like a flicker of light and a flutter of warmth,
He will soothe and He will comfort you.
He shall heal your broken soul and say, “Come forth!”
He, unlike this wicked world, says with words of truth:
“To me, sweet child, you are enough!”
Unlike this wretched world, he says:
“Come to Me and you will always have life – even when the going gets tough.”
And just like that, you’re overwhelmed by His Grace.
Your frozen body, thawed by His fervent inferno;
Your heart no longer empty as He fills up every space;
And the thirst of your spirit is quenched by His everlasting waters.
Where this world told you that you were worthless,
He tells you that you are son of…daughter of The Most High – ROYALTY!
“You will always be enslaved,” is what the world whispers…
But He shouts, “In Me you will FOREVER be FREE!”
My dearest brother, my dearest sister…
That with disobedience comes bondage,
But obedience sets you FREE!
In a world that believes ‘Nothing is for free,’
He hands us His Grace, then sets us upon a path of success which He hath paved.
So no matter how far gone you think you may be, trust me
When I say, “By Grace, through faith, you have been saved!”
