I'm curious about your music taste: please tell us what music you usually listen to!
Not sure how to summarize it in a simple way, I mostly play whichever song I got based present mood rather than specific genre... I'll just try list my favorites I remember so far lol Now I don't have a playlist to share since I listen to songs in video websites cause I can't afford those pricy vip card on music apps. It'd be too verbose if I list every single one so just the names -half·alive -The Oh Hellos -Yaelokre -Aurora -Mili -CG5 -Will Stetson -Rebecca Sugar -JVKE -Sufjan Stevens -Glass Animals -Imagine Dragons -Ado -TOOBOE -Musicals like Hamilton! Lin-Manuel is so talented for creating so many awesome songs for animated movies. Other musicals like Epic, the Greatest Show, Six, man there are too many annnnnd that's pretty much the recent ones I remember, not all and not sure if I got the names right since I'm not used to paying attention to who the singers are unless I really like their songs enough to want to find out for more songs or listened their songs too many times. And there are these in-game songs and fan-song and vocaloid songs and covers... gosh my favorite list is so random that I don't know where to start, maybe that's enough for this post Anyway thank you for asking! <3 I can't begin to tell how much I love some of the songs from the singers I listed that bring me inspirations for drawings and animatics, it's fun looking back to all these

FOG IM BACK. back on the stranger train that is. and im trying to think of fancy gender neutral clothes that look nice on them but still keeps their aesthetic (biggest problem is that loose dresses/other drapery looks odd on their legs).

I don't really know how gender neutral clothes work in this scene consider their original design is neutral enough already that I can't really tell if they have gender distinctions to begin with, or that's the design purpose to make their general culture vibe, everything even, as vague as possible to cater the topic of the 'fear of unknown'... But that's not what your question is about so nvm all that lol disclaimer: I'm bad at read culture details so my impression on Owlks are probably not lore accurate and feel free to tell me if something about my headcanons feel weird ndiowqo for starter, your purpose is 'look nice but still keeps their aesthetic', assuming'keeps their aesthetic' means their religious and whole deer-owl vibe, I suggest work on cape instead of dress. Not that it's not nice but 1) Their legs structure suggest they'd probably trip on it frequently, 2) Cape, on some level, fit in the 'wings' of owl's image, 3) I don't know I just feel like it seems more suitable for Owlks And if you're looking for capeless idea, hood and scarf seems also fit the vibe to me
Personally I like to enhance the antler/ nature elements, like adding trinkets made of plants/small animal bones/natural gemstones, herb/water/fire/stars patterns/decors
annnd that's pretty much it I don't have any full design ideas, no in much of drawing state recently so I hope these help lol

ABSOLUTELY YES AND THANK YOU FOR LIKING MY DESIGNS!!!<3 and for anyone who is interested on my AUs and random headcanons, I'm completely welcoming any discussion or more ideas or art based on them, those aren't really unique really and I don't own them, besides I'm always more than eager to consume more Outer Wilds content hehe, so if anyone wants to use the ideas, just go for it and feel free to expand or come up with your own kind of designs based on your unique interpetation! tbh I still haven't decided a standard design for them due to there're too many possibilities, I'll just go for what feels working at the moment lol Originally I was thinking of Hearthian travellers more similar to pilgrims in Silk Song, like they only travels with their feet and wings without engage in battles. But after reconsidered how dangerous HK's world could be, and Hearthians don't seem to have any reasons to not using weapons to defend themselves besides avoiding destroy ancient relics, plus battles are really cool , so best travellers are trained to prepare for dangers along the way ngl some parts are inspired by Elwensa's TLOOW AU, it's a awesome AU with high quality settings, highly recommending btw!! Imagine how cool it is if Gabbro using fishing rod for weapon as a earlier stage boss to give a test battle and reward a new ability after, warm welcome from Giant's Deep

guess where I've been this month it's really hard to decide a consistent base design of them grrrr there are so many choices...
too late to stop my brain to come up with a Hollow Knight AU of OW so gently put the ideas here a village/tribe delicate on exploring and mapping the world a fallen civilization's legacy a lost ancient tribe hidden in darkest dream and the environment temperature is getting lower and lower for some reason as the story goes not sure Hearthians are one single specie with various type or a tribe with multiple species that they adopted into during their travels okay that's all I'll leave the rest for you to guess lol

okay so @reject-roach a bit late cuz I really have no idea how to design ships in this AU First: Slate's workshop Underwater environment probably won't support many of the tech we know of so we'll have to be creative about it, and make up stuff that doesn't exist but at least looks cool enough to logically ignore it Their technology development would probably be completely different, smelting process is a big problem, I don't know how exactly submarine volcano works but I think they could use that, in someway, eventually and if smelting in water doesn't work, there's always creative ways to build a air environment, they'll have to work on the landsuit tech first in that order
Second: Ships and Travelers camps Definitely both! it's going to be really a big headache for Slate tho, considering in this situation not only the ship needs to be able to change pressure to be able to change altitude underwater, but to be able to 'flow' in air environment, which I presume they don't have the concept of 'flying' that is? Travellers' camp would be more important in many ways, cus different part of ocean means different ways of how currents flow and different kind of dangerous animals like toxic jellyfish or electric eels etc. Maybe in some extreme environment you'll need new kind of protective clothing. Better go asking for information and equipment when a new explorer arrives.
Third: Dark Bramble YES. Swamp could be a fun land idea to explore, but I personally want to see those angler terrors being big as fuck in the deep sea and could scare the shit of others, along with many more deep sea giant creatures >:D was going to do some ship design doodles but it's hard as fuck, and to do good visual design for this AU I might need to look for a lot of marine biology documentaries and studies which I'm not particularly interest..... and that's why they need Technical Advisor in these kind of things orz

基础生态还是遵循原作是普遍双性,在此基础上更鱼了一些 除去个人手癖喜欢画超长尾巴以外,鱼鳍的添加完全看心情(...)没办法孩子不是海洋生物学家对合理性什么的完全摸不着头脑,总之会根据角色理解和偏好环境添加鱼鳍或花纹,比如高饱和花纹假装有毒之类的?不知道是不是这么个理欢迎科普就是了 不知道该不该加肺,都当人鱼了非要水陆两栖是不是有点贪,目前是先当基本是水生和可以短时间脱离水但是久了会憋死这样

OKAY OKAY I FORGOT TO CHECK THE QUESTION BOX FOR A WHILE SO LEMME TRY TO EXPLAIN ONE BY ONE First of all, there's more than one ways to make the mer concept works and I haven't decided which to be my first canon yet, meanwhile the taur part doesn't seem to be making too much different to the whole culture except the size of buildings and clothes and all that so I'll put that aside and focus on how Hearthian being Mermaids affect the plot Q: How do the Hearthians obtain Nomai artifacts if they presumably cant go above water? do they just work with what makes its way down underwater or to the shore or have they found another way? ;:3 well... can't they really?
Artifacts or crashed Nomai vessel falling into the sea due to certain reasons could be related to some catastrophic event on land, ;;) so it would certainly be their first way to obtain those. But no one ever said Mermaid can't have 'spacesuit', right? in this case, landsuit? Having no legs doesn't stop them from mimicking the moving features of other sea creatures who live in the bottom of sea, like crabs or snakes, 'spacesuit' still holds the functions like keeping a survivable 'air' pressure and providing oxygen, but a major part of it would be giving their fish tail moving ability on land like jetpack in space. Haven't quite thought about this part, since I don't know much marine biology so I can only come up with two ways and a way by gravity crystal, I'm open for more ideas! the shortage of this 'spacesuit' is quite obvious, too heavy and water filter and all, but we'll just leave that problem to our genius engineer Slate

Dunno where the hell the eye of the universe should be I'll just put it there like a MacGuffin and it somehow related to the cause of the hyperactive core. I quite like the idea of barrier is environment instead of time!! Like, if it ever could be a game, it could lead to many fun puzzle ideas like changing scene from land to sea, dangerous in-between zones or sth!
