I HAVE AN INTERESTING IDEA FOR A STORY/MOVIE/TV SHOW THING

Okay, so, imagine there's a well liked celebrity, could be a movie star, author, musician, e.c.t, and they've gotten involved with a production company in an attempt to make an autobiographical movie about their life and they'll be providing all the funding for it.

But, unbeknownst to the celebrity, their biological child who they abandoned at an early age, from a time in their life the celebrity has made sure to cover up, works at this production company in a very high up position.

And that biological child forms a scheme with their fellow coworker's to make this film TRULY autobiographical and out the celebrity for their abusive past.

But because the celebrity is the one funding the project and is very involved in the production, they have to find ways to sneak in these aspects of their life, without them knowing, so they won't pull funding.

There's also the issue of the child being in this very high up position so the celebrity would HAVE to meet them at some point, but they can't risk the celebrity recognising their child, so they're trying to find ways to make sure they never meet.

But what ends up happening, is they do meet, accidentally, despite all of these schemes and plans to keep the separate, and the celebrity literally doesn't recognise them AT ALL

You think because of Tim's lack of a spleen and that he's more susceptible to illness he gets basically banished from the medical bay and/or cave sometimes?

Like if one of them ends up in the medical bay with symptoms that could be poison but COULD also be something contagious, would they keep Tim as far away as possible just in case?

Or say there's a particularly gross patrol where some of them end up in the sewers or thrown into heaps of rubbish or just some weird mystery gunk, do they keep Tim away from the cave until they get properly cleaned up and showered, and every trace of mucky sludge is scrubbed away and disposed of?

I mean he probably gets banned from certain patrols and cases! Or AT LEAST made to exercise some serious caution.

Like if they have to investigate an old abandoned hospital? One that's probably pretty mouldy and covered in who knows what kind of germs and bacteria? Do they just keep Tim off that case or do they overload him with face masks, antiseptics, hand sanitizer and basically get as close to putting him in a full hazmat suit as possible?

When thinking about the DC and Marvel universe with all these aliens that look just like humans, there's bound to be several instances of people not being able to tell if they're working with an alien or just someone incredibly socially inept or just a little weird with how they talk.

"Morning Jeff!"

"Hello coworker, how is... existence?"

"Great."

"That's good to know. What were you doing over the weekend?"

"I went to visit my family."

"Ah lucky, my entire family died when I was a child."

"Oh, I'm... I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry? You didn't blow them up!"

"They got blown up?!"

"Yes, blown to absolute nothingness, just ashes upon ashes of my dead relatives."

"Oh my... I uh... I..."

"I'm making a joke."

"...What?"

"I'm joking, my entire family isn't dead, they're definitely, perfectly alive, they just live very far away and I don't have the means to get to them or communicate with them."

"WHAT KIND OF JOKE IS THAT?!"

"Well to be honest with you, they could all be dead, I haven't spoken with them in several decades."

"Several? Dude you don't look a day over thirty."

"Ha Ha, yes."

I think if Batman's going to get any kind of disability when he's older, Chronic traumatic encephalopathy would be the most fitting and great story wise imo.

I mean it's caused by repeated head injuries, and yes it's rare but I don't care.

Just imagine the bat family noticing Bruce is forgetting some things, he gets more aggressive, impulsive, but then he also gets really depressed. They first think it's just that, depression, they try to spend more time with him and help out, but then he starts to get unsteady on his feet, keeps choking on his food and his hands just won't stop shaking.

It's something they all are at risk for because of how often they get concussions, they've all most likely had second impact syndrome at least once, and watching the one who started it all slowly lose himself would be one hell of a reminder that they're human and will have to deal with the consequences of putting their bodies through such torment over the years.

And for those outside the bat family, like Clark and Diana, having to watch their friend deteriorate and forget them is gonna bring up some very complex emotions and really drill in how much Bruce has sacrificed over the years to keep Gotham safe.

With the Knightfall trilogy coming out all I can hope for is the medical accuracy that came with the coma.

Give Bruce a baby. Please. Just give him a loving wife and a baby along with her. Let him sit beside her, holding her hand while she pushes and then have his new born child sleep on his bare chest!

Anytime I'm on my period I feel bad for all the superheros with functioning uteruses that must deal with the same pain I do.

Wonder if they wear pads, tampons, cups or some other fourth thing that I'm not aware of?

Like pads get all crinkly and can make a lot of noise when you walk, run, jump, not to mention the wings getting stuck on and accidentally waxing you.

Tampons would have to be changed regularly which is a bit awkward when you're in a battle that's lasted most of the day and you can't change your tampon.

The biggest issue with tampons and pads would probably be carrying and changing them if you're out patrolling and fighting on a regular basis.

Menstrual cups I guess could be a better option? You can go a good few hours without changing it out and with a proper fit, it won't leak, but not everyone is comfortable with them. It would depend on the person.

The best would probably be a menstrual cup, and maybe a pair of period undies if you're not comfortable with the cup?

If you actually had someone who knew how social media worked in one of those teen movies, then I feel like that'd be a lot funnier.

Like the whole trope of the bully filming the MC doing something stupid and posting it online, but it doesn't go viral because, let's be honest, it wouldn't.

"I posted that video two days ago, why hasn't it gone viral yet?!"

"Why would it? You normally only get four likes on your photos, you're not gonna suddenly blow up because of one stupid video."

"I even tried to send it to everyone in the school but most of them have private accounts! They won't even accept my friend request! Most of them don't even look at it!"

"Yeah! Because you're not actually the "popular girl" only like, five people like you. You're not popular! You're infamous!"

Do you think Jason Todd would ever settle down for a comfortable life?

Not necessarily get like married and have kids and all, but if Gotham chilled the hell out (which I genuinely think should happen one day, curses be damned) you think he would just buy a nice house somewhere and settle?

It's what he deserves imo. Stability. He never should have been Robin, it's not what he needed, so when his whole run as Red Hood is over, I think he should just relax, have a nice stable life. Get some therapy, work on himself, have a couple cats and dogs.

They all deserve a nice end, I know the writers probably wouldn't ever allow it, but for goodness sake, Jason deserves it the most.

Just let him have stability, PLEASE

It is very likely that Ace the Bat hound has some level of service dog training, if not completely certified.

Imagine one of the bat family members coming home with a gnarly concussion, too dizzy to walk straight and Ace just wanders over, leash in mouth and guides them to the medical bay.

Tim has passed out at the bat computer? Ace covers them up with a blanket.

Jason's working on the bat mobile and needs a 14 spanner but literally can't move or he'll get oil everywhere? Ace can race off and bring it over.

Damian's trying to sneak out? Ace can not only distract him, but will also drag him back inside, just as Bruce trained him to do.

And Alfred has trained Ace to do the same with Bruce, grab him by the cape and drag him to bed when he's skipped too much sleep.

Dick's dosed with fear toxin? Ace lays on his chest to keep him calm while the antidote runs through his system.

Cass is struggling to speak and needs to communicate? Here comes Ace with her phone for some good ol' A.A.C device time (you cannot convince me she isn't autistic)

I have an interesting idea for a sort of illegitimate child of Hippolyta that would be a new villain for Wonder Woman.

I was thinking there could be an Amazon that becomes obsessed with having a child like Diana. So she forms a child from Clay and manages to steal a drop of Hippolyta's blood (Hippolyta was battling Echidna and she stole the blood from Hippolyta's armour) to mix into the clay, hoping to create a child just like Diana.

But when that child is brought to life, she's quite sickly, because she was formed poorly and through deceitful means. The Amazon tried to raise her in secret but because of the child's poor health, she has no choice but to seek help from other Amazon's which then, of course, gets back to Hippolyta.

Because this is basically, kinda her child, Hippolyta wants to make her well, but it is revealed that, it wasn't just Hippolyta's blood put into the clay, unintentionally, some of Echidnas blood was also mixed in, so she's partly Amazonian, partly monster. The Amazon who formed her, is deemed her mother, and is imprisoned on the island for what she did, not just banished for the sake of the child.

As the girl ages, she gets sicker, bonding with Diana, showing a keen interest in reptiles, but also showing serious, sadistic, anti-social traits. Eventually, the only way she could possibly be cured, is by sending her and her mother off the island to find a cure. Only for her to brutally murder her mother and continue the journey by herself, using her mother as a source of food. She manages to get picked up by the Kobra cult/cult of the Kobra, who ends up curing her by taking advantage of her being partially composed of Echidna, and turning her into a reptilian woman. She ends up leaving the cult, only using them for her own needs.

She's able to turn into this reptilian woman rather than constantly being in that form, has a venomous bite so powerful she does actually pose a serious risk to Diana. She's also a serial killing cannibal that takes joy in killing and eating people. She's not this misunderstood character, angry for being sent away from paradise island, or traumatised from the kobra cult, she's just sadistic.

Part of me wonders what would happen if Jason Todd returned to Gotham after being dead for years, ready to confront Bruce for not avenging him, only for him to quickly realise during his first fight against Batman, that it's not Bruce in the suit, it's Dick. A frustrated, angry, "no punches pulled" Dick that's using everything in his arsenal to take Jason down as fast as possible.

Why is Dick in the suit? Because Bruce is straight up dying. Like days left to live dying from some sort of terminal illness they've managed to keep under wraps so nobody but the family and close friends know, except Jason, because, y'know thought he was still dead.

I can sort of imagine the confrontation when Dick realises it's Jason, of course he'd be happy his little brother is back but all that is trumped by the fact that Bruce is on his death bed, so weak he doesn't even remember what year it is and there just isn't anything they can do. Like full on, can't move, can't feed himself, super out of it, just the complete opposite of what he was when Jason died.

It's like a "Thank heavens you're alive but you couldn't have picked the worst time to turn up! Couldn't you have come back, I don't know? A year ago when Bruce wasn't actively dying and could actually remember that YOU DIED IN THE FIRST PLACE?!"

If someone could write that fanfiction, that would be lovely, please and thank you.

Extra points if you actually have the courage to kill Bruce off and not just rescue him at the last minute with the Lazarus pit or something.

I don't like the idea of killing off batman in a blaze of glory.

Blaze of glory is good, it can work, but, imo, a better ending for batman, is to grow old, retire and pass on, his body just giving out after years, allowing him to finally rest.

A blaze of glory is what's expected, but it's not always deserved. Batman deserves a quiet end, surrounded by friends and family.

And I think it still works if a DC story needs him to die relatively young, like forties and stuff.

It doesn't have to be drawn out, with several comics spanning months. It could happen on a single page! "One day he got sick, and he just didn't get better. The years of crime fighting had finally taken their toll and all we could do was keep him comfortable for the last few weeks."

Cancer can progress very quickly, people can get diagnosed feeling alright, and be gone two weeks later. Heart failure can progress quickly too, too quickly for a transplant to become available. Past injuries can cause serious issues later down the line, you get choked out? Blood clot that can stay for years and then later on cause a stroke, heart attack, pulmonary embolism. Got shot? Stabbed? Needed surgery? Scar tissue can bind organs together. A bad infection can turn into sepsis, and boom, organ failure! It doesn't even need to be an infected wound, it could be a fricking u.t.i!

If you want him to go out in a dramatic moment, that is fine, but I just wish there were more stories that focused on the fact that he is just a human and is susceptible to human diseases and illnesses, and would probably be MORE susceptible than your average person because he's constantly getting beaten up, shot, poisoned, FRICKING IRRADIATED!

I think it was Batman Annual #2 from 2018 that did it best. He grows old and dies peacefully in bed, from I think Alzheimer's or dementia.

If that was touched on again, bloody hell that would be sad to see fleshed out.

Every so often I get a sudden burst of justice and want to out my abusive parent to the world.

The closest I have ever gotten is commenting under a post demanding to be acknowledged and then deleting that comment ten minutes later.

Normal human superheros are bound to have calluses on their hands and feet and depending on their activity level and what exactly they use, some will have normal calluses, others will have skin that can tear bedsheets apart while they sleep (you know the video I'm talking about)

Like I doubt Batman would have that level of calluses, he'd most likely get them softened to maintain his playboy persona, not to a degree that the calluses become useless, but enough that it won't be suspiciously hard and dry.

And even though he's got powers, Spiderman seems like the kind of guy to have some pretty hard and rough finger and toe calluses from the wall climbing, if his body allows for it.

Iron man, maybe? Not from combat, but most definitely from building tech, though I'd be more thinking he'd have hardened skin because of burns from like soldering or smth.

Also yes I started thinking about this because I saw a video of someone getting calluses softened in one of those fancy spas with the cotton covering the feet and human safe sanding gun.

Now the question is, who would go to that kind of spa? 🤔🤔🤔
