Hello! I'm Pluto [They/them] and this is Featherclan. General warning for animal violence, anything that’s in warrior cats is kind of what we’re working with as far as that goes. While this is based on children's media, I am an adult and I do want to point out that sometimes my writing reflects that. As in, these cats are gonna curse.

Not too long ago, Featherclan was a thriving clan known for being quick thinkers and fast runners. Their neighboring clans even joked about them being able to fly. 

Then the fire came. Only two young cats from the clan were able to escape. From the smoke, can they rebuild Featherclan?

Mostly everything is randomly generated from the game clangen, but I’ve taken some liberties to make things more interesting and fun. I update by moon, and asks are always open, even if responses might take a while.

Zuvabat Design Contest results!

First and foremost I would like to thank everyone that participated, I'm honored that you took the time out of your day to make a design. They all were so wonderful in their own ways and it was incredibly hard to choose! It was incredibly close!

Entering @featherclan's Zuvabat contest with this silly guy! I'm definitely interested in hearing more about him!

Design notes

- I strayed from the sprite a bit. I kept the colors but simplified them a little, especially the side stripes.

- The side stripes are kinda sorta represent crescent moons, because bats and night go together. Well, most bats.

- I immediately envisioned him as big and fluffy. He has big big paws.

September 30th! I wanted to give everyone plenty of time because I understand how long art can take sometimes (I say, working on the next update ever so slowly.)

I was immediately enamored with your description of Zuvabat he seems like such a fun lil guy!! Love the thought of a character who always looks stoic or grumpy but is actually really soft. Congrats on 1k!!!

1000 Followers Celebration Contest!

Heavily inspired by @nimbusclan so if you don’t follow them, please go check them out!! Their comic is great!

For celebrating 1000 followers I put up a poll of what you all wanted to do for it and designing a cat for the comic won!

I’ve done something similar to this before with Cherryflare for 800 followers (check out this post where we did the polls and then this one where we decided their name!) (They haven’t appeared in the comic yet but I promise they will :sob: I’m just a bit slow!)

Except for this one, I’m switching it up! You all will be able to submit your own design for a prominent character that will appear in the comic long term! 

You get the sprite and some general design/character details, but feel free to go wild with the design! As long as you keep his general color and vibe the same so that story elements make sense later on. You don’t have to use the exact colors from his sprite.

RULES:

Absolutely no AI is allowed. If you use AI for this contest you will be blocked from this blog. Sorry not sorry, I do not fuck around with AI “art”. 

You have to draw the design yourself! I will be picking the winner based on design, not art or skill level, so don’t be afraid if you’re a newer artist!

Since this is a contest to thank the people that read Featherclan, I will only be accepting design entries from blogs that follow Featherclan. (If you're posting from a side blog that can't follow, just say so!)

Because this character is going to be a pretty prominent one in the comic, I want to make it clear that the winner's design will belong to me once the contest is over.

It has to be a full body and fully colored design!

CHARACTER BRIEF:

Zuvabat is a grey tom cat with green eyes and is 35 moons old. His traits are lonesome, incredible runner, and good hunter. 

Feel free to draw him with or without the bow, he gets the bow later on but I love how he looks with it.

I’ll be announcing the winner September 30th so I hopefully am giving people enough time to participate- I know what it’s like to be busy!

Just fyi he doesn’t show up until moon 52, I am so sorry he was the soonest cat that hasn’t already gotten designed and isn’t directly related to someone already designed.
