Nimbus /ˈnimbəs/ A luminous cloud surrounding a supernatural being.
After a devastating landslide wipes out their Clan, orphaned siblings Moonpaw and Fogpaw are left with nothing but the mountain beneath their paws and each other. Forced into a relentless search for a new place to call home, the small duo grows into a makeshift Clan along the way. New friends aren't the only ones following them on their journey, however - a malicious cat from the Chasm follows in their wake, determined to put an end to the Clan she thought she had destroyed.

Welcome to NimbusClan! My name is Froggie, and I really wanted to get in on the ClanGen fun everyone has been having! NimbusClan is a two-part ClanGen comic: alongside the standard comic format are written portions that delve more deeply into each scene. The comic pages can be read on their own, but if you'd like the ~Full NimbusClan Experience~ be sure to read the story installments in addition to the comic pages!

Game Rules:
Mass extinction events are turned on
Cats are allowed to breed with cats that aren’t their mates
Same-sex couples will not be able to have kits, but adoption is increased
Cats are allowed to have kits with an unknown second parent
Romantic interactions with cousins is turned off
Leader will automatically choose a new deputy and cats will choose their roles on their own
Content Warnings:
NimbusClan contains Warriors-typical themes of violence, blood, and depictions of animals injured and in distress. One of the characters suffers from experiences akin to hallucinations and intrusive thoughts.

You can call me Froggie! I’m 27 and use she/her pronouns, but I don’t honestly care if you get those wrong. My current drawing and writing speed allows me to get about one update out per month, as I work two jobs that take up most of my time. I draw and write for the story when I have time, and though I do tend to manage hitting my monthly update goal, I may not always be able to. This comic, while mostly planned out story-wise, is very experimental for me, as I’ve never made a comic before. Expect frequent changes in art style and formatting!

With Moon 25 FINALLY on the horizon, and with things settling back into a normal pace, I can finally celebrate this blog reaching 1000 Followers! I know it's been very up and down lately, but I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for keeping up with TidalClan. I promise there is more to come as I get more and more satisfied with the style I want the comic to be in! I want to deliver something you all can enjoy and get attached to!

Guidelines and Contest Rules Below!
For this contest, you will be able to design TWO cats in TidalClan's world! You do not have to do both of course, all up to you! The information provided to you will be their names, their in-game sprite and some very basic personality. If you would like to add anything extra that's in line with their provided personality, go right ahead! I love seeing other's ideas!
First up is:
Condorstar! Yes! A leader!
Condorstar is a long-furred, white tom with brown rosette markings splotched on his flank, and a spot of brown on his right cheek, and yellow eyes.
Secondly we have:
Puddlesand!
Puddlesand is an elderly gray point calico tabby she-cat with deep blue eyes. (She's actually described as "gray/ginger point calico tabby", though her sprite has no ginger! Buuuuuuuuuut if you want to add ginger to her design, go for it!).
Rules:
- Submissions must be your own original works. Any suspicion of AI usage will result in an immediate disqualification. No base recolors, no sources outside drawing software.
- By submitting, you agree that the design, if chosen, belongs to me and will be used in the comic.
- As such, anything that happens to the character is a result of the ClanGen RNG or plot relevance. If they die, they are gone with no questions.
- Colored, Fullbody sketches are the most preferred.
- You do not need to be a follower to enter! Everyone will have equal chance of winning, as every submission will be placed into a wheel.
- That said, ONLY ONE SUBMISSION PER PERSON. While you may draw both, I will not be choosing both designs for Condor and Puddle from the same person. There *should* be two winners, unless the wheel decides otherwise.

The winning designs will be chosen on July 21th at 8pm EST. The winning designers will receive a huge shoutout PLUS a shaded fully-body character of their choice drawn by yours truly ^^

We had 48 people submit quilt blocks for our pride quilt for this month's event and we've created an awesome spread representing the clangen creator community's pride. As usual if you have a question about who drew a particular square we can probably identify them for ya :3

it's been a little over a week, the form is now closed! thanks a ton to everyone who responded!
I saw two people ask for the results so I figured I might as well post them like this
the platform question is definitely skewed since I only posted it on here, didn't think that one through but oh well
and for the art style question I should've given "no preference" and "it depends on vibe" options instead of just the two and an open answer but again, oh well
the most interesting for me was definitely "What's your favorite ClanGen-based comic?". it wasn't required to send the form in but 93 people still responded! a lot with a couple of their favorites, lots of recommendations!

Captain Jack: seafoam-blue tom, 71 moons. The captain of the feline crew. He is arrogant and prideful, but fiercely protective of his crew.
Osprey “Ozzy”: purplish tabby she-cat. 41 moons. Stoic and loyal first mate to Captain Jack. She comes off as cold and blunt.
Willy: white young tom. 6 moons. Insecure and cautious
RAAAAAH!!! I’m finally finished with this page!!! And almost done with moon zero!! I swear the day after I posted the last page I went into a flow state lining, but I could not get locked back in for coloring to save my life.
Also please please please feel free to point out if I need trigger warnings I will never be offended if you’re asking me to make other people’s experience more comfortable. I am not a tw user and have never really done a project like this so I am unsure how to handle using them, but I want to learn!
