What can I say… 1. Yuzu in nerd mode researching how to get into “the zone”, let’s hope he doesn’t overthink. 2. I’d probably have caved and bought him tons of toys if I were Yumi-san… (that said, his “toys”–read: earphones–these days are so expensive). 3. And uh… all of this in 5 minutes? :o

Because we were allotted only 5 minutes for an interview, Hanyu-senshu was concerned for us, “Would you be fine? Were you able to gather enough for an article?” Because Hanyu-senshu had thought through everything in his head before putting them into words for us, 5 minutes were plenty!

Clear (It smears like crazy tho, i prefer the wet n wild top coat but i couldn’t find it here and i needed a top coat ASAP)
SO! Let’s get started with the weird belt things.
I used a clear plastic bag here. Lay a coat of clear polish, this is so you can lift the design later.
Because it isn’t Yuzuru if there are no sparkles, Lay a coat of Konfection over the clear polish.
Didn’t take pics of this but, the sparkly polish is a bit bumpy. I laid another coat of clear polish over it to even it out a little.
When that is dry (doesn’t take long) stamp the design with Gold Medal over the sparkly sandwich.
I forgot to take a pic of this too but, after you stamp it, paiint over that with Gunmetal (the dark gray shade, i recommend two thin coats).
While that dries a bit, let’s go to the nails!
I always use two coats of base coat on my nails, you could skip it or use just one :P
Paint with Yo Soy all your nails but the ring finger. That one will be black! (Because of his pants :) )
When it dries, paint a diagonal line with Creme Brulee (Can’t see it here but believe me, in person you can see the difference and it looks really good!)
Time to work with the belt thing again. This is the hardest part because you need patience and good pulse :P
I used eyebrow tweezers to take the design off the plastic bag (veery carefully. Although since there are like five layers of nail polish, the design comes off as one piece :) )
Cut off the excess and (the tricky part) Cut two strips out of the design. They are still too wide, so you have to cut those strips in half: You will end up with four strips out of each “sticker”. I used small eyebrow scissors to cut this.
Put the strips over your nails in the desired orientation (They will somewhat stick to your nails)
Remove the excess of the strips with the scissors you used to cut the strips. Some of it will still stick out of your nails: Remove it with a qtip dipped in nail polish remover.
Seal the strips with the clear top coat, so they don’t come off.
This is a matter of personal preference, in my case, since Yuzu’s black pants are almost always velvety, i used a matte top coat over my ring finger :)
And it’s done! Hahah i swear it was quicker than it looks. The most difficult part is to cut the belt things :D If you have any questions ask away! :D
