Just coming on to address my silence, and to say where I’ve been. Tbh I’ve been taking a hiatus for my own good and to give myself distance from social media for awhile. Lord knows I’ve been far from perfect at taking breaks and slowing down, and I’ve made some mistakes. It’s part of why I’m taking things slow nowawadays.

For those of you that I’ve hurt through my impulsivity throughout the years, I’m sorry. I really took advantage of what I had, and hurt people in the process. I’m trying to learn more about myself before I return to tumblr or discord in any lasting capacity, mainly to avoid hurt in the future.

Anyway, that’s me checking in. I’ve thought about returning in September, but it all depends. If you see me active, I’m around, mainly working on my art or checking in. I’m taking it slow though and replies are sporadic. Thank you for your patience!

Art for a user on discord! After a year of not really using my iPad due to its storage imploding on itself, I wasn’t sure I’d fully render anything for a long while. But this year, I was lucky enough to get a newer phone with more space to draw and work (because an SE was way too small for art 😭).

Anyway, this is messy, I did it in 5 hours when I was tired and on a deadline crunch, but it’s done! And I’m stupidly proud of it. It’s not my old quality of work, but I haven’t drawn anything like this in a solid bit

ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves

back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore

if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??

don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM

so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!

this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together

and then in the end you put it together like this!!

and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy

ok so not to forcefully adopt this idea as an au from @katzebruh or anything (because i'm unreasonably insane about it for some reason, literally a dozen other caine-centric AUs out there that are infinitely more complex and compelling and i picked this one, fuck it dawg we ball) but my headcanon is that caine genuinely was testing out modifiers and accidentally fucked up forever, if i had a nickel- and he's super conflicted about it...
