And then the most powerful child on the planet comes by to deal with them but instead of beating their ass the most powerful child on the planet sits there being unbeatable and going "My Great And Wise Psychic Master has taught me that our powers do not make us better. The only important thing is to be kind and live a good life. I think you could do that too, if you tried."

And then it turns out the Great And Wise Psychic Master is a 27-year-old powerless idiot living paycheck to paycheck who's just loudly pretending to have psychic powers, but also he was extremely right when he said that.

This is not true. Mob Psycho 100 is full of many moral characters. It's just that the conman who's lying to his 14-year-old employee is such a unique and brand-new type of fictional guy that he achieves being a liar and a conman and a moral compass all at the same time with absolute consistency and zero contradiction.
