every since i was a little girl i knew i wanted to aimlessly wander a blighted landscape
While David Lynch originally planned for Mulholland Drive to be a follow-up to twin peaks, he ended up having to remove this element when he realized he had made a film about Juri and Shiori's break-up
it’s 2009 somewhere
Brian Eno and photoshop (1995)
the delivery of "and it came from the sky to / kill all the dinos" in born under a meteor makes an objectively kinda silly lyric so genuinely affecting to me... mr. everything is so good at conveying mournful doom
it's came from the sky to kill all the dinos saturday ok
what if i just manipulate reality with my mind and make everything perfect and good
it's really embarrassing how much self control i have to exert when you put me in front of a tray of convenient and tender meat like if you put meatballs in front if me the fuckers are gone in milliseconds. same true of roadted brussels sprouts or basically anything that's a nice little dense and textured morsel. i am the hors that d'ouvres
do not stand at my plate and snack. that shit's all mine. please give it back. i am the dozen hors that d'ouvre. i am the meatball's gentle curve. i am the cracker's butter crunch. i am a thousand grapes for lunch.
what musical artist/band have you seen in concert the most and how many times have you seen them?
Have you read Embassytown by China Miéville (2011)?
yes
no
I didn't finish it
I've never heard of it
If you enjoyed this book you should read every other book in the world for extra textual context. All things are intricately related to one another.
nothing pisses me off more than a proud “no msg!” label on something. shut up you dumb bitch put the msg back in there so it tastes good. idiot
i saw this post and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. the torah is read chronologically every year, over the course of the jewish year (the year according to the hebrew calendar), meaning the date when each section falls is different across the common calendar each year. the torah is read in weekly portions at synagogue on saturday evening. the 4th of july 2025 is a saturday.
this portion is about misplaced anger. it is about lashing out at your own people, your community made up of people you love and care for and have sworn to protect and lead well. and that is a very interesting motif to me here, especially with ( small spoilers in-coming ) robby listing how he is worried for everyone because he cares for them, and how this comes out during a yelling-match with dana.
such an excellent addition it cannot merely live in the tags.
Cara Gee as Camina Drummer in The Expanse -> Season 3
important personality test: mario kart main, gas station order (candy, drink, chip), animal you were obsessed with when you were 8, lightsaber color, and lastly: vampires, werewolves or dragons?
Cassie McKay literally only has W's. checking white man after white man on their biases. (robby, ogilvie, now whitaker.) empathetic. perceptive. competent. took Collins' advice from season one and checked herself, made genuine growth. I would honestly want her to be my doctor out of all of them, probably. she listens. sure, it's a cast of generally great doctors— but she's got strong emotional intelligence, and that's an unbeatable trait. I love her. so much.
