Tom patiently waiting for Chris to put on his suit jacket so they can hug 😭
Also, I desperately need the full video from this POV (the one I’ve seen posted always cuts what I want to see)
I rewatched the TFR Seoul press conference. Look at their smiles and how they sink into the same pose.
I love how Tom keeps looking at McQ and lightly touching him while answering. It feels like a quiet "you with me?" moment.
And I realized that when Tom answers questions, he often says "McQ and I," almost as if they're one person. 🫠
Featured Article: The K/S Netfan-Printzine Fan Wars
This week, we’re bringing you a piece of ancient fandom lore with our featured article on The K/S Netfan-Printzine Fan Wars - the clashes between the Kirk/Spock (K/S) print zine community and the online Star Trek fandom.
Print zine fans were authors, readers, and artists who, since Star Trek: TOS was on the air, forged the path in fan fiction writing. Before the internet, letterzines were the only means for fans to have regular and organized discussions with other fans. The K/S fandom, which sprang from the wider print zine community, was highly protective of their works and was adamant on staying out of visible spaces for fear of legal actions from Paramount.
The introduction of Usenet in 1979 ushered in a new generation of Kirk/Spock fans, many of whom were either oblivious to the print zine fandom, neutral towards its existence, or openly dismissive and hostile to these previous fans. The online Star Trek space was also not exclusively for Kirk/Spock fans but included other pairings from Star Trek: TOS, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. For online Trek fans, alt.startrek.creative and alt.startrek.creative.erotica.moderated were platforms where they could post fanfics without having to conform to traditions or worry about expectations from others.
While the Usernet fan groups grew into lively spaces, Kirk/Spock print zine fans began to feel at a disadvantage in terms of attracting new fans and that their favourite pairing was diluted in this online space. Another point of contention between the two communities was “elitism’’, as zine fans argue that not everyone has access to a computer and the internet, while online fans point out that not everyone wants to pay a yearly fee for letterzines.
The resulting culture clash included turf wars, blacklisting, and blanket statements by fans on both sides who fanned fires fueled by tribal alliances and relationships.
Curious how this epic fandom war went down? Head over to Fanlore!

God going off another post but we haven't really talked that much about the fact that Lyonel knows that Dunk was lying about being a knight, and Dunk confirms it to him. If Lyonel just wanted Dunk's strength sworn to his house, this would be a great way to tempt or blackmail him into accepting- whether with a promise to knight him properly if he agrees, or a threat to out him if he refuses. The only reason Dunk even had the legal right to request the trial by combat was because he was believed to be a knight- revealing that this was a lie would be a huge deal and would very likely get him executed after everything that's happened. So this secret gives Lyonel even more power in their already unbalanced dynamic, but he chooses not to use it. He doesn't just want Dunk's sword, he wants his companionship on a personal level- however you take that- and even when he's clearly hurt by having his offer rejected and jealous and spitting curses at him, we never once see him consider threatening to reveal him. He's not that kind of spiteful, but more importantly, he genuinely wouldn't do that to Dunk. He cares about him.
And it kills me because I agree with that other post that Lyonel's air of flippancy about the whole thing fooled Dunk. Not just the disrespect toward Baelor, but the fact that he thinks the tournament was great (literally because meeting Dunk made it great), the fact that he's talking about all the fun they could have when Dunk is hurting and grieving so deeply. He doesn't want to be just another whim for this lord, just another amusement to eventually be discarded. But that's truly not what he would have been, it's just that Dunk is used to being direct and honest and a little vulnerable in a way that Lyonel is not. He doesn't quite understand people well enough yet to really dig beneath what they say to get to what they mean. If Lyonel had just been more direct about how he felt, why he wanted what he was asking, maybe things could have been different.

started watching another show :)
There's a war coming. We could be a force, you and I.
His crutch is an antler too. I love this diva
So, I’ve seen a lot of people saying that Lyonel isn’t the Lord of Storm’s End and might not even be the heir at this point. That makes his commitment to the bit even funnier.
Imagine him at a family gathering where everyone else has one or two small tasteful stag themed items, and he shows up looking like all of Santa’s reindeer rolled into one.
He walks up to the actual head of house Baratheon with a shit eating grin dripping in black and gold wearing an ANTLER crown, leaning on his ANTLER crutch, pulling his ANTLER pin out of his cunty ANTLER clutch.
Never in all my life have I seen a character as desperate to be dicked down as lyonel baratheon. like he gets up on a table and sings loudly about anal pleasure and sticks his ass in people's faces, and he zeros in on Dunk as the biggest guy (and likely biggest dick) in the room and is like "bring him to me! sooooo big boy, what are you going to give me to curry my favor?" and then he's like "nm let's dance!" And then he becomes the world's most annoying little shit to provoke Dunk into manhandling him, and when it works the look on his face is pure ecstasy. I know Dunk has a lot on his plate right now but he needs to pencil in blowing Lyonel's back out because it's damn near a medical emergency at this point. somebody fuck this man before it's too late!!!
the first thing about rpf to understand is that it is ultimately fiction and we will never understand the true inner workings of the lives of celebrities because there is always going to be a veil of performance clouding the way we perceive them. the second thing about rpf to understand is that it’s always true + real and it happened exactly as i imagine it in my mind
