āI donāt like Motaz anymore!ā āWe should cancel Bisan!!ā āShould we support Palestine if Motaz has xyz belief??ā the answer is itās a GENOCIDE. You should not even be glorifying these people in the first place, that youāre shocked by their actions to the point of no longer supporting Palestine. You should not be caring about Palestine because you have two genocide blorbos youāre unhealthily attached to. You should be supporting Palestine because people are dying, babies are losing their lives on birth, whole cities are being razed to the ground, and an entire countryās being erased in live time. You should be supporting Palestine because you value human life. I donāt know how many times people need to hear it for it to stick. Palestine is not a trend. Palestine is not a trend.
Like what are they trying to prove here? They went into a home that they bombed, pawed through someone's personal belongings, and now they're displaying it like...what? What message do they intend to send, and how do they possibly think it makes them look like the good guys?
Hey everyone, this is Bisan from Gaza. I'm still alive but Hind is not. Do you remember Hind Rajab? This seven (7) years old child who was missed 12 days ago. Hind was in a car with five (5) family members and they were all killed - except Hind - by an Israeli bomb, and then she called the Ambulance, she asked them to rescue her. Two Ambulance men from the Red Crescent tried to do this but they were also missed. Now; today they were found killed. The body of Hind found killed, found murdered. It's just a new massacre added to the list of endlessly massacres committed by Israel against my people; Palestinians in Gaza right now.
No one holds Israel accountable until now. No one is doing anything. Hind was killed. Who is the next? I don't know, it might be any one of us, but I mean, it's a new, it's a new massacre - she is murdered. You all heard her story, you all heard her voice asking for help saying (Bisan speaks in Arabic first then translates to English the following) "take me with you, take me from here". She was between dead bodies for days, alone and no one could rescue her. We knew where she was, we knew that she was okay, we knew that she could contact the Red Crescent but no one rescued her.
I genuinely feel disgusting. All the love and support I could give, the donations, the spreading of awareness, all of it--and none of it could save this child. I've listened to audio of her begging to be rescued, of her telling the operator that she's afraid of the dark. All of it has done nothing, because she was still killed. The Red Crescent paramedics who tried to save her were literally targeted by Israeli forces on arrival. Deliberately. On purpose. I know we have to keep talking about this, I know there's no end to this until Palestine is free--until Palestinian children stop being liberally massacred like this--but I just had to lament the fact that this child's death won't be enough to the world. It has never been enough. This isn't the first and it won't be the last, and there's really no telling when these deaths--of these children, these human beings who didn't get the luxury to live like you and I do--will be enough.
I donāt think at any other point in my life has it been more nakedly obvious the United States government functions first as an arms dealer and global police force for imperialism and an actual country with a government as a distant second. Thereās is practically no pretense right now that it functions as anything else and the ruling class has no interest in even pretending otherwise. No education, no housing, no transportation, no new infrastructure, no healthcare, no welfare, no social safety net, no legal guarantees for bodily autonomy and basic human rights. Just an endless stream of weapons and money for war and military occupation (including the domestic military occupation through the āpolice). Nothing else matters, and they donāt care that we know it anymore.
the thing about ai art is that to most normal, not-overly-online people, its just a little internet gimmick for them to play around with, akin to flash games or funny videos. if you see someone trying it and you come into their inbox telling them they are a horrible person who wants to starve artists, without first explaining the hundred tumblr soundbites and mini culture wars youve immersed yourself in to get to that conclusion, they are probably going to think you are fucking insane
speaking as both an artist and a game dev student, the fact that people were so quick to jump to pocket pairās (the company behind palworld) defense in regards to ripping off pokemon was highly concerning. even though there is evidence that they have literally ripped at least one model from pokemon directly.
and there is also no denying they have taken at least some āinspirationā regarding their other designs.
and a lot of people may go āthereās no problem, theyāre ripping off nintendo who is a huge companyā. well, if they can get away with ripping off nintendo, what happens when they start ripping off smaller companies?
at first glance, what game do you think this is? nope, itās not actually hollow knight. this is pocket pairās upcoming game ānever grave: the with and the curseā. hollow knight was made by only three people. that is a far cry from nintendoās massive company.
and although usage of ai generation may not be used in palworld, the company its from is no stranger to using ai art for their other games.
palworld exists as a novelty, haha funny pokemon game but with guns. but the moment you look into it, the company its from does some shady things. personally i would not want to support a company like it
You also forgot the part where Pocket Pair plagiarized fan pokemon designs with no compensation or credit.

Genocide experts warn that India is about to genocide the Shompen people
Who are the Shompen?
The Shompen are an indigenous culture that lives in the Great Nicobar Island, which is nowadays owned by India. The Shompen and their ancestors are believed to have been living in this island for around 10,000 years. Like other tribes in the nearby islands, the Shompen are isolated from the rest of the world, as they chose to be left alone, with the exception of a few members who occasionally take part in exchanges with foreigners and go on quarantine before returning to their tribe. There are between 100 and 400 Shompen people, who are hunter-gatherers and nomadic agricultors and rely on their island's rainforest for survival.
Why is there risk of genocide?
India has announced a huge construction mega-project that will completely change the Great Nicobar Island to turn it into "the Hong Kong of India".
Nowadays, the island has 8,500 inhabitants, and over 95% of its surface is made up of national parks, protected forests and tribal reserve areas. Much of the island is covered by the Great Nicobar Biosphere Reserve, described by UNESCO as covering āunique and threatened tropical evergreen forest ecosystems. It is home to very rich ecosystems, including 650 species of angiosperms, ferns, gymnosperms, and bryophytes, among others. In terms of fauna, there are over 1800 species, some of which are endemic to this area. It has one of the best-preserved tropical rain forests in the world.ā
The Indian project aims to destroy this natural environment to create an international shipping terminal with the capacity to handle 14.2 million TEUs (unit of cargo capacity), an international airport that will handle a peak hour traffic of 4,000 passengers and that will be used as a joint civilian-military airport under the control of the Indian Navy, a gas and solar power plant, a military base, an industrial park, and townships aimed at bringing in tourism, including commercial, industrial and residential zones as well as other tourism-related activities.
This project means the destruction of the island's pristine rainforests, as it involves cutting down over 852,000 trees and endangers the local fauna such as leatherback turtles, saltwater crocodiles, Nicobar crab-eating macaque and migratory birds. The erosion resulting from deforestation will be huge in this highly-seismic area. Experts also warn about the effects that this project will have on local flora and fauna as a result of pollution from the terminal project, coastal surface runoff, ballasts from ships, physical collisions with ships, coastal construction, oil spills, etc.
The indigenous people are not only affected because their environment and food source will be destroyed. On top of this, the demographic change will be a catastrophe for them. After the creation of this project, the Great Nicobar Island -which now has 8,500 inhabitants- will receive a population of 650,000 settlers. Remember that the Shompen and Nicobarese people who live on this island are isolated, which means they do not have an immune system that can resist outsider illnesses. Academics believe they could die of disease if they come in contact with outsiders (think of the arrival of Europeans to the Americas after Christopher Columbus and the way that common European illnesses were lethal for indigenous Americans with no immunization against them).
And on top of all of this, the project might destroy the environment and the indigenous people just to turn out to be useless and sooner or later be abandoned. The naturalist Uday Mondal explains that āafter all the destruction, the financial viability of the project remains questionable as all the construction material will have to be shipped to this remote island and it will have to compete with already well-established ports.ā However, this project is important to India because they want to use the island as a military and commercial post to stop China's expansion in the region, since the Nicobar islands are located on one of the world's busiest sea routes.
Last year, 70 former government officials and ambassadors wrote to the Indian president saying the project would āvirtually destroy the unique ecology of this island and the habitat of vulnerable tribal groupsā. India's response has been to say that the indigenous tribes will be relocated "if needed", but that doesn't solve the problem. As a spokesperson for human rights group Survival International said: āThe Shompen are nomadic and have clearly defined territories. Four of their semi-permanent settlements are set to be directly devastated by the project, along with their southern hunting and foraging territories. The Shompen will undoubtedly try to move away from the area destroyed, but there will be little space for them to go. To avoid a genocide, this deadly mega-project must be scrapped.ā
On 7 February 2024, 39 scholars from 13 countries published an open letter to the Indian president warning that āIf the project goes ahead, even in a limited form, we believe it will be a death sentence for the Shompen, tantamount to the international crime of genocide.ā
How to help
The NGO Survival International has launched this campaign:
Take action for the Shompen now!

Just a general reminder that the week of 18-24 February is another strike. Please don't ignore this, no one has the excuse of it being too spontaneous this time as it has been planned since the strike in January ended. Don't talk about anything other than the injustices in the world. Talk about Palestine. Talk about Sudan. Talk about the republic of Congo. Talk about West Papua. Do not let anyone forget about any of the genocides going on rn.
Educate yourself, donate to unrwa and buy esims, look up local protests, look up and read books, watch videos, listen to podcasts, learn more. Find local organisations who are taking direct action, email and call politicians, join unions, theres so much you can do. Please don't ignore what's going on in the world rn
lethal company is like the opposite of whatever among us did to friend groups. if you want to see which of your friends is really good at lying and betrayal you play among us and if you want to see who you'd crush a group project with you play lethal company
My new favorite trend is people who draw themselves considering indulging in a bad food habit / not eating their veggies / skipping meals / etc. And then Senshi Dungeon Meshi appears in their thoughts or perhaps in their living rooms to encourage them to eat good tasting foods that are healthy and nutritious . And the person gets so overwhelmed by their love for Senshi that they eagerly comply.
People in Gaza have been saying this would happen since the very start, as soon as the occupation started corralling everyone into the southern part of the strip they said this would happen. We watched it happen as the āsafeā zones grew smaller and smaller and every time Rafah was targeted by air strikes even before this. And no one who could actually stop this lifted a finger. Itās been 129 days.

"doesnt israel have a right to exist too??" well its an apartheid ethnostate so no
"what about the people dont the PEOPLE have a right to exist??" yes! they do! however, they do not have a right to an apartheid ethnostate
"what about the holocaust survivors in israel dont they-" yes they have a right to exist too, however surviving one genocide does not give you the right to commit another, nor does it give you the right to an apartheid ethnostate
This is Rafah, The "safe" zone, where 1.5 million Palestinian fled to. You have to understand, what bombing Rafah means.
Please don't look away, while everybody is busy watching the super bowl, Israel commits one of its most deadly and openly genocidal attacks on Rafah. Please don't look away.
