Carved into the cliffs of stone
He stood there silently alone.
He watched the seas by day and night
His vigil was his endless plight.
One day he rose out from the sand
A sculpture from an artist’s hand.
His creator had entrusted him
To guard the Salty Mists so dim.
‘Neath...
real life.

Notice that Autumn is more the season of the soul than of Nature.

i have to feel bad a little for green day because “wake me up when september ends” was about his father dying and now there are a bunch of unoriginal teenagers on the internet making jokes about it
This has got to be one of my favourite movies of all time.
Compassion makes the world go round
There are two main reasons, in my opinion, why we are failing as a community/world. (this is a generalized opinion by the way, just so there's none of this "I'm not like this at all" crap) 1) we cannot admit/ask when we need help. 2) we cannot offer help to those who need it. I, myself, find it incredibly difficult to ask for a helping hand but I find it even more difficult to reach out for a hand in need of help. Society, that means me and you, have become so close minded and so independent that when we are faced with troubles we turn and run instead of asking for help because that would mean that we are "weak" and "incapable" of doing things on our own. STOP! That's not how we were made to interact with one another. Have you ever realized how all the people in our classes growing up, excelled in certain areas more than others? some people were genius when it came to numbers and sciences, while others excelled in the arts? it's because to be balanced, harmonious, and whole, we need to work together; combine our forces in a positive way. Back in the day when we knew nothing of the laws we live our day to day lives with now, we were a unit; a team. We each had certain skills that we used to our advantage. We raised children together, ( "it takes a village to raise a child") because that way they got different perspectives and advice that would deal with everyday situations. When one of us struggled, we all worked our asses off to help them, because that's what would happen if you were in need of help. Now a days, if you're struggling in life it's your fault; you asked for it. More often than not, a blind eye is turned to those who need help or reassurance the most, including ourselves. Have you ever caught yourself in a difficult situation thinking " oh my god, I'm being such a baby, i shouldn't be upset over this." when you were most definitely not being a baby and should have been upset? I believe that is because we are so used to turning down/judging those who need help, we even turn down/judge ourselves. We strive and crave perfection so much we turn ourselves into destructive monsters. Next time you see somebody, including yourself, needing help I suggest you try, *key word is Try here*, your best to aid/help/minimize the pain to the best of your ability. You might not succeed in making their problems disappear, but I can guarantee that the appreciation the other person has for you will make it all the worthwhile. Remember: It's the thought that counts.
"Freedom; an illusion created to keep the people weak and uneducated in the war against justice. When one believes he is free, there is no need to fight." F.F
