âNormally I hate the heat as well to be fair⌠but this bloody rain is just⌠miserable.  Itâs like the whole place is just fucking depressed and itâs trying to take it out on us.â  She sighed, before a warm hoodie was suddenly thrust into her arms.  She looked down at it for a few seconds in surprise, before looking back up at Felix, a smile sliding across her face.  She nodded, moving the pillow off her stomach and shoving the hoodie over her head.  It was soft, warm, baring the faint scent that Felix had.  It was perfect.  She grinned widely, stretching her arms out and relishing the feeling of the soft felt against her skin, before settling back down and shoving her arm through Felixâs happily.  âTa,â she grinned.  âThatâs much better.â
A short burst of laughter escaped her at his comment, and she shoved against him playfully.  âWell you make sure to tell me once youâve decided which one you prefer, ok?â She wasnât being serious, not really⌠Felix was too important to her to just be another one of the hit it and run type sorts she normally got involved with, but it was still funny to her.  Still, despite all her jokes, she couldnât help feel like the boy beside her was an anchor of sorts for her lost soul to grab onto.  The feeling was made even more pronounced at his next comment about the missing children, and without moving her head from his shoulder, her grip tightened around his arm.  âNo,â she said softly, as images of her friend Scar, who had been missing for a week now, passed through her mind.  âTheir thinking of sending out a search party for them soon.  Some sort of rescue mission⌠which means Morgana must know where they are, but fuck if sheâs telling.â  Ash knew it was probably people just like the ones that had fucked with Felix who were now messing with her friends, and the thought terrified the girl.  She herself knew what it was like to be in an asylum, but her version had been so less⌠aggressive⌠than anything the boy she currently clung to had gone through.  Ash was terrified of what was happening to them, terrified of what they were capable of, and terrified of what the aftereffects could be to some of the experiments.  Ash couldnât lose anyone else, especially not Felix or Scar.  âI fucking hate it, Felix,â she whispered.
He pulled a face when she linked arms with him, as if the action was the most obscene of things, and he looked around them to see if anyone was being nosy. âOi careful, canât âave people finkinâ Iâm a nice person.â The look he gave her crinkled into a smile a second later. Felix wasnât particularly kind, and had fewer friends than enemies, but Ash seemed to bring out his softer side. One of which he hadnât considered until after theyâd met. It was a defence thing heâd had since forever, and his ADHD didnât help matters. He took a moment to look at her in his hoodie. âBit big on you, ainât it? You skinny... minge.â He laughed a bit, bringing up his free hand to rub at the back of his head. It was gradual, but he started to lean into her as she did with him. He let her shove him; he hardly moved. All amusement fled him as they spoke of the missing students. It wasnât that he cared about them, he found it difficult to sympathise with people he generally hated, no matter the situation they were in, but he understood the situation. He feared it because it could have been him. Again. Felix shifted, uncomfortable. âWhy ainât she sayinâ shit if she knows where they are?â It didnât make any sense to him, and he frowned. âDonât seem right.â He curled his hands into nervous fists. A large part of him suddenly didnât want to talk about it. Mentions of a possible site location had him squirming. âYeah, you anâ me both.â The boy let out a breath, and covered her hand with his, where it lay upon his arm.  âWhat I donât get is how they was taken in the first place.â
