He(vic)had this one last chance to get his happy ending. Mitsi was the one to bring back hope to him and, the only chance if him to ever be happy, and he lost that too. Even after years he's only become more obsessed with idea of revenge and far opposite of getting over her death.

Even if the main gang chooses to give Vic a chance for redemtion, he could not bare the though of being friendly with Alan after everything he's been through. Especially considering he was first ever victim of his actions now seeing he has friendly relationship with others. Only emotions that can make him feel are pure rage and jealousy, of why he couldn't have had that

Victim has become sick both mentally and physically(possibly linked) as we saw from purple's mother, character's color fades away the sicker they get

He already got scared for life, the past still haunts him but he can never go back and fix it

He simply can't find other peace but death

Imagine you're someone with self-worth problems who's constantly comparing themselves to the others, always feels like is not good enough and is seen as stupid by the others cough cough fandom when when sfawtde dropped. And then you meet the one person who calls you special for just being yourself

For D3rlord3/Derek we know he's a collage droppout and a "gifted burn out"(pretty sure that's canon?)
