so much of that "child free" content on tiktok that people call empowering is just women hating.
i want to expand on this. not wanting children is obviously not inherently misogynistic and childbirth being the reason you donât want children is 1000% valid. however i find it really gross when women talk about their experiences giving birth and all of the comments are âđ€ąewâ or âomg tearing is so grossâ or even âthis is why iâm never having childrenâ. women sharing their experiences is not them asking you why you find their experiences gross or asking if you would ever do it. EVEN WORSE women will post their bodies during pregnancy or after and women will comment âthis is why iâm never having kidâ or âtag the girl with the listâ that is not the girlboss take you think it is it is just shaming womenâs bodies. calling pregnancy gross is misogynistic, calling birth disgusting is also misogynistic. these are things womenâs bodies do naturally and there is a reason you feel so comfortable making fun of them or calling them disgusting.
things i would do before doing long distance again
1. rip out my own tongue
2. sleep on nails for the rest of my life
3. always have hot pillows
4. wrap a rubber band around my wrist so tight it cuts off my circulation and sit there and watch as my hand falls off
5. female circumcision while i was conscious
6. be put in prison solitary confinement for the rest of my life

the discourse around being dyke for dyke or les for les is genuinely so fucking stupid. if it can be as normal as it is for so many bisexual women to go on the internet and talk about how they could never date women because they are so scary and a SMALL percent of lesbians canât say they have a dating preference. yes âbiphobiaâ for sure can be rude but biphobia isnât a system of oppression yes bisexuals can face homophobia but to act like you have some specific disadvantage because some lesbians wonât date you is wild.
Les4les is SO valid but I also wanted to gently remind folks that there is actually a system of oppression called monosexism that specifically targets anyone that is under the multisexual (ie bi+) umbrella and is attracted to more than âoneâ gender. This results in it being a documented fact that bi+ people have higher rates of:
identity suppression (The most alarming iteration of this is when a questioning bi personâs long-term partner begins to suspect they are bi and starts taunting them about it so that the bi person is never able to come to terms with their own sexuality and forcibly identifies as straight forever, which is awful for their mental health. Another version is that I would be in more danger of conversion therapy or having my WLW relationship sabotaged if I came out to my family as bi since everyone would think Iâm as âeasyâ case.)
domestic and intimate partner violence (These rates are higher than that of lesbians who have dated men, specifically because toxic partners feel extra threatened by bisexuality and will falsely accuse you of cheatingâI have seen this happen in real life, even in cases where someone is not out to their partner and the partner suspects it.)
poverty and homelessness (This is understood to be because while gay people seek out found family if their bio family kicks them out, once a bi person is kicked out of their bio family, queer found family often adopts them conditionally on the basis of whom theyâre dating and whether they present as queer âenoughâ.)
being denied asylum (Because bi people are seen as ânot gay enoughâ to be in danger of life-threatening homophobiaâAs a bi4bi WLW trying desperately to escape my home country in the global south I can tell you that firsthand how difficult that is. đ„Č)
substance abuse
poor mental health and suicide
This is compared to all monosexual peers (straight people, gay men, and lesbians). As you can see, the statistical existence monosexism obviously doesnât imply that we are necessarily âmoreâ marginalised than any other group. Obviously, the patriarchy is the highest perpetuator of bigotry towards us, not other queer peopleâas is the case with all other LGBTQ+ groups. (ie Bisexuals are a minority group within the patriarchy and are obviously not the âbiggestâ perpetuator of any bigotry towards other queer groups.) However, bisexuals are uniquely marginalised, just like heterosexism and cissexism are also both unique systems of power that oppress gay and trans people. Biphobia and bimisogyny arenât just âannoyingâ, it feeds into monosexist rhetoric that is genuinely life-threatening to the most vulnerable bisexualsâlike BIPOC bisexuals, trans bisexuals, and bisexual WLW who present as lesbians to the rest of society. This is similar to how lesbophobia or transphobia might only be mildly annoying to a very rich, white queer person, but we canât call lesbophobia or transphobia as a whole harmless or allow it to be hurled against even controversial figures, let alone assholes in our personal lives.
As a bi4bi WLW I do wholeheartedly support les4les and its deep cultural importance. đđ„° Bi sapphics should respect that, and call out ignorant lesbophobia in the discourseâOf course, lesbians should also be on the lookout for whether anyone claiming to be les4les is actually being exclusionary on the basis biphobia rather than the prioritisation of lesbian solidarity. I understand the instinctive worry that bisexual sapphics have whenever they think they see a queer person trying to exclude bisexuals in some way, just like I understand the various anxieties of lesbians. Itâs easy to be triggered these days and misunderstand each other, especially over the internet. Monosexism isnât very well known so people donât call out biphobia enough, meanwhile my WLW community (that includes bisexuals, lesbians and trans sapphics as well as bi4les couples) is very directly affected by biphobia as well as lesbophobia and transphobia.
ofc a post about being dyke4dyke gets co-opted by bisexuals lmao đ. like why not make your own post why under this ! weird.
like this is genuinely what lesbians complain about we canât say anything about OUR experience in the LESBIAN community with out someone saying âerm well actually bisexualsâ like girl shut up omg my page is about BEING A LESBIAN WITH MY DYKE BOYFRIEND AND MY LESBIAN HOBBIES LIKE GIRL PLEASE

"no butches want me" SKILL ISSUE IDK GO HUG A TREE OR SOMETHING GET OFF THE INTERNETTTT
omg people are so insufferable istg.

Not to reignite the sabrina carpenter shit but I do have some questions.
Imagine you're a child just going over to the Target toys sections to buy some random thing and you have to pass by this massive poster in the music section
(Image from this video)
So what the fuck is a child supposed to learn from this? They're not even at a point where they can understand WHY someone would be pulling your hair, why such a thing is on an album cover in the first place. What they can clearly see is that there's never a male artist doing the same things. There won't be a similar display of a man like this, nor multiple album covers of him in various states of undress -- unless, of course, he's in an empowering position. This is anti-feminist and anti-woman and completely narcissistic. She already has plenty of money and fame. There was no need to pull shit like this for the outrage. I'm not saying she has to be a perfect puritan little christian, I'm saying that she's coming from such a massive place of privilege where she could so easily make moves that are positive for women, but she instead chooses the most negative portrayal of women. She isn't a feminist and it's not anti-feminist to dislike her.
i love being a leftist, socialist, isreal hating, radical, mean, femme, neurodivergent, god denying, evil lesbian
the instant you try to defend the rights of women and girls on this stupid website
