We have gathered every issue of Anything That Moves as PDFs and are working on transcribing them into plain text for accessibility and easy spreading and quoting! Check out our carrd here for links to all the files.
This is incredible! Anything That Moves was a bisexual magazine that ran from 1990 to 2002 and most of the issues were very hard to find up until now, making this part of bi history and culture accessible is MONUMENTAL
u know…. lesbian things
I think one of the greatest realizations I ever made was that I didn’t have to choose between masculinity and femininity
The sooner you realise that you can do literally whatever you want as regards to your gender presentation (or lack thereof) and just take whatever bits and pieces you like from wherever, the sooner you can start enjoying life.
butches: *are masculine*
parents: no u need to like feminine stuff!!!!!!!
butches 5 months later: alright i’m here to introduce my femme girlfriend
trans people do not owe you their backstory. they do not owe you their deadname, their pre-transition pictures, their coming out story, their heartache. trans people who are stealth are not “tricking” you, trans people who are open about it are not “faking”. there is no one trans experience, no specific narrative trans people have to fit.
also, if you’re trans, i love you! remember to drink some water today.
it’s good when someone who thought they were bisexual realizes they’re a lesbian and when someone who thought they were a lesbian realizes they’re bisexual. both of those moments deserve at least a tasteful brunch celebration
Intersex people of color are lovely and worthy of love, safety, and happiness. You have a future, there’s a place for you. You have so much beauty and worth, and you have a purpose.
When y’all talk about the AIDS epidemic and Reagan, please do not leave out black people. Like for real, there’s several popular posts that circulate around this site about the epidemic in the 80’s and none of them mention black people at all, which is really upsetting to me. Black communities were ravaged by aids in the 80’s just like gay communities were. They suffered along side each other. While Reagan celebrated the deaths of gay people, he was also celebrating the deaths of black people. AIDS was killing off the “welfare queens” that Reagan and other republicans were constantly harping on about. AIDS killing black people meant less dependency on the social programs that they loathed and wanted to get rid of. It was another thing that helped them keep us from gaining power while the CIA brought crack into our communities to weaken us. And till this day, black people are contracting HIV and AIDS at the highest rates.
Please stop leaving out black people when talking about AIDS and Reagan’s response to it.
I mean... Butch and Femme are Lesbian exclusive and queer is a slur. And you're allowed to have that opinion. You don't have to take down your posts just because one person said so
ah, but it wasn't my post. it was their post that I had reblogged, n it's perfectly fine for them to have boundaries that exclude me! ur allowed to curate ur own tumblr experience to one where u feel safe, n if I make someone feel unsafe, they have every right to ask me not to interact with them.
it's a mutual respect thing, u know?
hey if you coukd take down your most recent reblog, about femmes being under no obligation to look a certain way, that would be great. im the op (i would message you but you have those off) and i support queer people and femmes of all kind. thank you.
done n done, sorry about that! feel free to block if u need to so I don't interact again by accident! also sorry if u've been waiting for an answer, I just came on line cause I saw the email about ur ask, hope I didn't keep u too long!
@swordwifes my understanding is they disagree with a couple of my stances (namely that butch/femme r lesbian-exclusive n that q***r is a slur) n that's what the issue was!

much love to all the bambi lesbians!
nothing wrong with being more interested in cuddles, hugs, kisses and other nonsexual touches rather than sexual contact. how you feel most comfortable in a relationship matters!
you’re both a bambi lesbian and ace? you’re freaking awesome & don’t push yourself to have any physical interactions you don’t want!
bambi lesbians that aren’t ace are absolutely the best too and this term has always been about you!
being lesbian doesn’t require you to focus on anything sexual or even be sexual at all and seeing lesbians as inherently sexual is a product of lesbophobia!
