Honestly kinda shocking how little people latched onto Cid/Otto considering the ffxvi shipping community is/was historically very into doomed middle aged man yaoi and the ship is literally like, probably canon from Cid's side of things. And you could make a strong argument for Otto also having feelings based on his reaction to learning about Cid's drunken "I love you" letter after his death. IDK.

i think like how healers in ffxiv have the rescue ability to drag people to where they're currently standing, they should give tanks a new ability that pushes people away from them, with the intention tanks can use it when someone is going to get hit by a cleave or something. we can call it 'get down mr president'. nothing bad could possibly come from this

in conjunction with this they should add a raid where the only way to solve a central mechanic is for healers and tanks to use their respective pulling/pushing powers to send dps flying around the stage like a pinball machine

emet-selch's role in the garlean empire is one of the best and funniest retcons ffxiv has ever implemented because all of a sudden almost every setting detail that didn't quite add up now works because an evil wizard did it.

like the nael thing goes from "what do you mean a young garlean officer's sister disappeared and father died in what was widely assumed to be an act of patricide, and then he publicly executed his house's officers and guards, and solus zos galvus said 'hang on, put THAT GUY in charge of a legion NOW'? how does that make any sense?" to "oooooh yeah. yeah he would do that."
