minecraft speedrunning the ultimate larp fandom im in. no runs completed 2/4 bastion routes learnt and 0 things learnt past the bastion split. but i make fanart of the runners so its like half larp

I always thought that I couldn’t see the stars where I live because I live in the middle of a city and,well, light pollution, but today I decided to turn off all of my lights and actually properly look at the sky to see if I could see any stars at all and at first I thought that I could. If I really craned my neck and looked up I could see a smattering of small, little pinpricks of light. Of course, if I looked closer to the horizon I could see the tell tale flashing lights of planes but if I looked further up above I thought I could see the stars.

And then I really focused on what I thought were stars and I saw one of them flash red for a moment and then I noticed that all of them were really just flashing lights but they were so far away that you could barely tell. And I think it’s so sad in an almost bittersweet way that we’ve gotten rid of all the stars and replaced them with lights that only differ in how often they flash red with the lies of beauty.
