I don’t believe this
If you say so...
We all feel things are different today. Our challenges and hopes, technology and innovation, what we eat and how we eat it. But actually, our range of emotions is limited. And people in the past felt exactly what we feel today.

The riots that followed the disputed Ivorian presidential election in late 2010 greatly influenced Aboudia's painting. As the violence escalated, daily life in Ivory Coast and particularly the capital Abidjan was thrown into turmoil. In March 2011 the conflict reached a crisis point and the country broke down into civil war. During this period the artist took refuge in a basement studio and began a body of work responding to the horrors of the country's devastating political situation. Via Jack bell gallery
These awesome giant, textured mushrooms are the work of Belgian-born, Stockholm-based artist Carsten Höller. Spending time in their presence feels like an opportunity to dip your own toes into Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The upside-down mushrooms are from Höller’s recent installation for the Gagosian Gallery at Frieze New York. The even more surreal triple mushroom sculptures were shown at the New Museum in SoHo back in 2012.
The only thing missing is a certain hookah-smoking caterpillar.
