This is my second time trying to upload this. Okay, so this is a Sally face story inspired by Warrior cats. It's really just a rough draft, and shouldn't really be taken seriously. If any of ya'll like it though, I might post another chapter. And with Sal, like what happened with Crookedstar, his training was delayed. So this is it, don't take it too seriously, and I hope you enjoy :3
Sal: Bluepaw
Larry: Lighthead
Ash: Ashtail
Travis: Goldenpaw
Kenneth: Darkeye
Lisa: Bright star (didn't know who to make leader)
Redpelt: Todd
If you have any suggestions for the names, I'd love them. I just put whatever was at the top of my head because like I said, this is more like a rough draft. Enjoy! :3
Chapter one
Bluepaw ran as fast as he could through the woods, panting heavily. He ran for his life. Because a Dog was after him. Ready to kill.
The day had started out as usual. Getting up as soon as the sun rose, doing his duties around camp as an apprentice. Getting the familiar teasing from Goldenpaw. He had just been hunting prey for the camp. They were getting prepared for Leaf-bare. And out of nowhere, a dog was in sight. And Bluepaw had immediately felt fear overwhelm him. The dog just chased after him like he was a squirrel.
Now he was running, but not for camp. But the opposite direction. He didn't want to lead the dog to camp, blood would be shed! He didn’t even realize it when he ran past Goldenpaw. The Dog didn’t notice either! He only realized when Goldenpaw called out to him.
“ Bluepaw?!” He heard. But he didn’t stop running. He ran for a few good long moments before he suddenly heard the pounding of paws on the ground after him stop. He turned to see Goldenpaw on the dog's back, claws dug into the Dog’s pelt, refusing to let go. He bit him, and nipped at him as much as he could. Bluefur quickly joined in, and despite being terrified, swiped at its muzzle with his claws, hissing. They were like that for minutes, until eventually, the dog flung Goldenpaw off its back, and stormed off, probably back to its two-leg.
Both Bluepaw and Goldenpaw were panting heavily. Bluepaw spoke up finally.” That was-”
“ What in the name of Starclan was that?!” Goldenpaw interrupted, glaring at Bluepaw. Bluepaw tensed.
“ I-I don’t know! I was hunting prey for the clan, since leaf-bare is upcoming, and suddenly I was running for my life! I don’t really know what happened…” He mumbled.
Goldenpaw rolled his eyes.” Ugh. Of course. You don’t know anything, you're useless…” He mumbled. But Bluepaw knew he didn’t mean it.” Goldenpaw, come on. I know you don’t mean it. Why do you hate me so much anyways, what did I ever do to-” But Goldenpaw had rolled his eyes again, and was just off running back to camp.
Bluepaw huffed. He never listened. They didn’t have to be enemies. He followed after Goldenpaw. He wanted to be there, no, needed to be there when Goldenpaw explained to the leader of thunderclan what had happened.
…
“ Bluepaw was being reckless, and nearly led a dog right to camp!” Blueaw heard Goldenpaw say as he entered camp. He rolled his eyes.” Not true!” He called out.
Goldenpaw’s gaze snapped over to him.” It is too!” He said back.
“ Enough.” Brightstar cut in.” Bluepaw, tell me what happened from the start.”
Brightstar was the Leader of Thunderclan, and Bluepaw honored her more than any other cat. She was wise, thoughtful, positive as much as she could be. And his best friend’s mom. He loved her, and respected her.
Goldenpaw scoffed, but fell silent. Bluepaw spoke.” I was hunting prey, but out of nowhere a dog was insight. It just chased after me! So I ran, not towards camp, away from camp. I didn’t want to lead it here. But I ran past Goldenpaw, and he did help. We both scared it off.” He explained, making sure to include Goldenpaw’s importance in the story. Goldenpaw still looked grumpy.” Hm…I see. Very brave and loyal of both of you. But this doesn’t sound good at all, it could easily become a problem…” Brightstar murmured. She then turned away, towards Redpelt, the deputy. Also Bluepaws friend.” Redpelt, I’d like to speak with you in my den.” She said. Redpelt nodded, and they disappeared behind the ferns and vines.
He felt a glare from Goldenpaw before he rushed away and over to his father, Darkeye.
Suddenly, he was tackled to the ground. Lighthead had tumbled into him. That was his best friend, and the son of Brightstar. They’d become friends years after…Bluepaws face had gotten hurt in an accident. The accident had delayed his apprentice training, and killed his mother. So everyone else were warriors while he still trained.
Bluepaw yelped out.” Hey-!”
“ Dude! What happened?! A dog tried to attack you?!” He was sputtering out words. Bluepaw kicked him off with his hind legs, getting back up.
“ Didn’t you hear me explain it?” He asked, giving him a look.
“ Well, yeah..just had to make sure you were okay is all.” He mumbled. Lighthead had been very protective of him since they became friends. Especially knowing the accident he’d gone through. Most of the time, Bluepaw didn’t mind. But for some reason, right now it annoyed him.
“ I’m Fine. Don’t worry about me, I didn’t get a single scratch!” He said. Lighthead opened his mouth to say something, but Brightstar had emerged from her den with Redpelt.” Lighthead, Ashtail, and…Smallpaws. Go hunt as much prey as you can find. Bluepaw, why don’t you go rest? You’ve had a long day.” She said. Bluepaw was hesitant. He watched as his friends all left camp, him having to stick behind. It felt horrible, like he was being left out. But he nodded, and made his way over to the apprentices Den.
He curled up in his nest, shifting around a lot to actually get comfy. He groaned a little. He couldn’t find a single comfortable position. Then a voice hissed at him.” Stop moving around so much!” He recognized it as Goldenpaw. He must’ve been sent to rest too. Or maybe nobody needed extra help, so he was just resting. Bluepaw stopped moving around, just settling down in his nest on his side.
He closed his eyes, trying to fall into sleep, and let it consume him. The last thoughts he had were of being left out. Of the accident. The dog snapping at his legs. Attacking it with Goldenpaw. And why Goldenpaw hated him so much. Or if he even did.
