Why does a character unexpectedly getting pregnant turn you off and make you stop reading a novel/fanfic?
Not everyone needs to get pregnant—it’s a weird expectation to have.
It’s weird for everyone to suddenly be ok with a pregnancy if it was unplanned.
The pregnant person’s character development often ends right after giving birth
It seems like a lazy plot device to use when you don’t know what else to write
It’s ok, unless they’re ~magically~ pregnant after thinking they’re infertile
It’s ok, as long as the entire story afterward isn’t just about parenthood
It’s ok in almost all case, since it’s just fiction and I’m not the MC
It’s ok, if it doesn’t follow the cliches (morning sickness, cravings, etc.)
It’s ok, I actually like the trope a lot
Scriptwriting’s fun, guys…📄📄

Headcanon so strong in a fandom that it replaces actual canon.

Finding a fresh new daydreaming plot is honestly the best feeling.

I think the hot new trends for this summer should be reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
reading smut in public without showing an ounce of emotion like the lady that I am
We’ve seen a number of writers sharing stories about suddenly losing access to their Google Docs today.
It’s still unclear what’s causing this, but if you’re concerned about big tech creeping in creative tools and spaces… you’re definitely not alone. (We’ve written about de-Googling and censorship before.)
You should be able to write freely—without fear of deletion, censorship, or extraction.
All writing should be safe. It should stay yours.
We want to help build a space where writers are in control:
Ownership of your work. No surveillance; no surprise removals.
Sync, share, and collab, without scraping or data-selling.
A writing tool that you know is safe, now and in the future.
Please stay informed. Back up your work. And don't be evil (👀 Google).
