ok wow I'm actually up to my chin in fics TBR (with more still to come!) and I'm sure y'all probably are, too. what a wonderful inconvenience to be drowning in riches. in case you missed them, here are the fics I wrote for the event in the order they were posted (they also happen to be in length order lol, but that's not by intention):

June 7 | Scars/Youth: (I've had) the time of my life (20,397 words)

On a dare from Bruce Wayne, a Lex Luthor who never took his father's offer to work in Smallville goes home with a stranger named Kal and... ends up with a lot more than he bargained for.

June 10 | Time: I see you lying next to me (15,896 words)

A philosophical fix-it in which Clark and Lex get stuck in a time loop during their big fight in "Descent." But this isn't your average time loop...

June 11 | Rescue: and the box was full (4,451 words)

A bonus scene from His Other Greatest Weakness in which Lois helps Lex figure out how to propose. I'm super proud of all of these 😭 I worried that getting into fic writing would be detrimental to my original writing but I've just watched my writing improve soooooo much since I published HOGW, and I'm so thankful for this fandom and the engagement and the experience of writing for a show that I've loved since I was 13! Thanks to @smallvilleclexweek for an amazing event! I'm taking a week off but I hope to return to posting regular updates for my season 5 AU fix-it and my modern hollywood clex au by the end of the month 💜 thank you to all my readers who've made putting the time and energy into these fics so worth it.

Movie sin: a movie that you hate that everyone else loves or a movie you have never watched

Movie I hate: hmmmm this is a tough one bc I’m the easiest person to please like deadass I’ll watch Madame web for the entertainment value but I do have one that might piss a lot of people off… i really wasn’t a huge fan of Poor Things (2023) and not for the whole “oh she’s a child in a woman’s body this is pedophilic!!!!” argument which I think is often completely unnuanced and a bad faith take, BUT because I think it was just, like…. fine. People like lost their minds over it but it really felt like baby’s first feminism to me. Like omg how radicalllllllllll a child born to a woman’s body discovers rubbing her bits equates to pleasure and goes feral over it and everyone looks at her askance because Women Aren’t Supposed to Do That but like, have you considered…… some women are Horny from like, a very young age. The fact that this movie won so many awards made me roll my eyes into the back of my head because it’s like oh what an empowering tale of a Victorian woman reclaiming her sexuality written by a cishet man 😀😀😀

anywayyyyyyyy all my friends who I love very dearly really love this movie so I’m sorry to yuck anyone’s yum, if it’s any consolation I really love the Adam Sandler Grown Ups franchise so it’s very likely that my takes are worthless 💗

okay speaking of smallville cast watching tv shows i want to publicly state i think lois and clark both love xena and i think they both find out in some point in season 4 and are like genuinely horrified to have this in common but also it's the start of the subtle hints about how they're going to be all timer besties forever to each other. also i think clark watches half of one episode of glee before jonathan says what's that racket and he superspeeds it off but also he hated it so much it actively delays his coming out by multiple years. lex i think prefers sci fi when he watches tv (rare) while clark (& lois) prefers fantasy/genre tv (i.e., lex would have seen like bsg and firefly whereas clark would be watching xena and buffy), i think chloe's obsessed with documentaries, i think pete has a the simpsons pillow. lana of course loves horror and old movies and also post her lex single day of training to master all martial arts if she's going to watch a reality tv show type program watches ufc. if lex watches reality tv it's survivor. lois much to her chagrin loves reality tv so she'll watch anything. clark doesn't really get reality tv. pete watches live sports.
