It cant be a coincidence that the Tulpar ship and a Tulpa are one letter apart
Always love it when I see open thirsting for a character I never gave a second thought to.
It really makes you think and seeing them through a loving eye can help you see like: ohh I see where the love is
Doesn't change anything for me usually but it's lovely to see!!
not sorry
@soapkid made something really cool and hilarious so I decided to make the harmony

Post game side adventure of Link helping Zelda, who has post being-a-dragon amnesia, remember her life to the tune of "No Matter What" from the Steven Universe movie.
((Song under the cut for the curious))
Something something Zelda gets brought back from being the light dragon but she's been one for so long she forgor everything ala link in botw and post-game side adventure where she comes with you to places from her memories, (dragon tears + places from botw) and in like a mirror to the end of the puppet Zelda storyline you do end up back in the throneroom of hyrule castle but that's where she has the pieces snap together and maybe teriko is there idk thank you for coming to my Ted talk
This time, Iām not actually complaining about TVtropes.
Iāve been watching an LP of the Dredge, a fishing Lovecraftian horror exploration game, and I notice how Diverse⢠it is. Itās supposed to be set in a vaguely new-Englandish series of islands, but thereās a lot of women and non-white people.
I guess thatās just what you have to do these days when you do something Lovecraftian, to show youāre Not Like Lovecraft.
But;
Oh!
Okay!
So this gameās universe specifically has 1940s gender roles, yet it also has a lot of women in jobs that would most likely be held by men. Plus modern day big-city ethnic diversity.Ā
If youāre going to make your game unrealistically diverse, donāt contradict that diversity. Just be consistent.
If you canāt do that, you just come off as insincere.
If all you want is an aesthetic without the time period it comes from, then either donāt have enough lore to need to explain things like this(Cuphead is a great example, with a plot that can fit into about two sentences) or go whole-hog and just create an entirely new world so you can write whatever the hell kind of places/societies you want(while I personally donāt like it, I highly respect Disco Elysium for the amount of worldbuilding it did and wish that there were alot more games willing to make worlds that detailed/lived in).
Ok, but does the game itself was she assigned to the archipelago because shes a woman? Cause otherwise thats just TvTropes doing its thing.
Ah shit
I just realized...
The reason the the objects the fisherman finds are always enormous but distort down to a more realistic size when the collector handles them is because of that thing where no matter how close or far you are from the mirror, your image is always half your actual size. (š§¼)
Therefore, the perception we/the fisherman has of these objects being massive is a distortion because we're so close to the reflection of it...
Despite my words of comfort, I cannot stop the fisherman from Getting Scared š

@onabikaaĀ sent me a message asking for more stuff on myĀ ācult in a boarding schoolā idea! I was considering making a full post for it and your ask finally pushed me over to do it.
Story details under the Read More! This is already a long post. Thereās some pretty dark themes so please let me know if you wish me to tag anything, cw for mentions of death, religion and cults:
