Advanced Ramadan Mubarak everyone!!
Deciding what book to read next is like a fucking military operation like do I want fantasy? romance? deep and meaningful? trashy?
Or do I just want to reread a book I’ve read 10 fucking times I just don’t know
Don’t think outside the box. Think like there is no box
“Fasting is as our sacrifice, It is the life out of soul; let us sacrifice all our body, Since the soul has arrived as guest.
Fortitude is as a sweet cloud, wisdom rains from it, Because it was in such a month of fortitude That the Quran arrived
When the carnal soul is in need, The spirit goes into ascension; When the gate of the prison is broken, the soul reaches the Beloved”

“It’s not gay if he was born by c-section.”

Hello!
Hey guys, sorry I’ve been really dead on here lately, school combined with mental health issues has rendered me unfunny in the classical department.
However, I’ve been doing some more self-reflective/creatively-charged writing as of late, mostly surrounding my recent transition (surpriiiise) so I’m keeping myself creatively occupied at least.
Hope you’re all doing well! Keep the humanities queer y’all.
“No intelligent idea can gain general acceptance unless some stupidity is mixed in with it.”
— Fernando Pessoa
From John Stuart Mill’s On Liberty
“A pain stabbed my heart, as it did every time I saw a girl I loved who was going the opposite direction in this too-big world.”
— Jack Kerouac, On the Road
“i fell apart many times. so. what does that say about me besides i live through wars.”
— Nayyirah Waheed (via wordsnquotes)
We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.
Anaïs Nin , The Diary of Anaïs Nin Vol. 4 (1971)
“It may be unfair, but what happens in a few days, sometimes even a single day, can change the course of a whole lifetime…”
— Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner (via ablogforreaders)
