SIMA WAS no stranger to days --- and nights --- where she sat herself atop a roof with some form of drink in hand, pondering over the complexities of life and humanity. Usually, it was done alone, after a long shift at the hospital, when she needed that time to process a particularly hard day or to decompress from everything. After all, nothing had really been simple since everything had happened that night. The world as many knew it was now something utterly different.
Sitting with another, however, was uncommon to her. Maybe even a little bit foreign, but she did not mind the company, nor did she mind listening. She was an older sister and eldest daughter, first and foremost. She was the one her siblings often came to with any worries they had or emotions they were unsure of how to process. Elena's story drop was nothing she was not used to receiving, even if the truth of her past was something Sima found herself turning her head to and giving a questioning look.
Elena had become a small consistency whenever Sima worked with the B.S.A.A. these days. Leon often spoke about her whenever they conversed, and had even shown her pictures, so to see her now and sit with her in this moment, Sima was more than happy to do so. Her story was like something you'd hear of only in a movie or a video game, and yet the entirety of what had happened in Raccoon City could be construed in a similar thought process, despite how real it was.
The doctor's lips parted and closed as her mind thought over the information. Part of her wanted to see if the woman's father was in Hell, so that she could give him a dose of such medicine, but instead, Sima took hold of the bottle and from it, took a slow swig. " You know... your father sounds like he'd get on great with my mother --- " It was the first thing that came to mind. The things Lilith had done to Sima in her younger years, and even more recently, were akin to experiments and torture in their own manner. " I think there are a few, though, who are glad that you are about, even after all of the shit he dealt you. "
Her tongue brushed across her mauve lips, and with it, her dark eyes settled themselves on Elena's features. Sima always held a rather maternal gaze about her whenever she spoke with someone, no matter who they were or what they spoke to her about. " Listen. You might think that in the end, you will be alone... but you won't be. Yes, some will come and pass with time... but there are a few of us who will be there, long after that. Some of us who have even been here, long before any of this, too. "
