When Dreams Collide
The distance between where you are now and the path you think you should be on is probably smaller than you think it is.

Silver and Light by Ian Ruhter.
Now this is truly innovating. Film photography will forever live on. Building on an old idea and not just making it better, but innovating. Truly amazing video!
Design is not some buttons in your photoshop.
No its not, but using type in photoshop...mistake number one. But I do get the point.
The only known video footage of Anne Frank
I can’t think of any reason why someone would not reblog this.
If this isn’t interesting/sad to you, then I don’t know what you like in life.
Can’t we hit 1,000,000 notes? This is such a rare shot, everyone should see it.

Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?

The Language of Color
When you think about it, art has a lot to do with how it affects us emotionally, think, etc. Color connects to us more on a psychological level and even art as a whole. But for today, I’m going to talk about color, how it affects us.
As an artist, I remember being in high school in my art class, and the teacher would talk about color. Now, I hear those same stories throughout college but even more informative information. Color, to me, is what sets the tone within the artwork. Color plays a part in specific things, such as: red/black for politics, red ribbons for different organizations such as HIV/AIDS, the pink ribbon for Breast Cancer, and so forth. Certain colors tell us what to expect without having to think about it. For an example, if you see a pink ribbon on a product in a store, you automatically know if you buy it, the money goes toward a donation for Breast Cancer. We know this because the way color is being used in our society.
Color can also be effective physically. Certain colors you wear could bring out your eyes more and other things of that nature. Colors that you choose to wear for the day can make you feel happy, sad, etc. And for home to feel like home, it’s because of the color choice you chose to paint the room. Rooms with specific colors can change your perspective on things, mood, creative flow, and other things. You go to certain areas of your house because the way that area makes you feel. Most of the time, it’s the color of the painting, and not the set up of the room. Some rooms in your home may be organic colors!
Color is also what it is to that person individually. It can be very dynamic. Bright colors to one person could be joyful and to another, sad. Maybe certain colors mean something personally to that individual. In different cultures and societies color meaning differ. This is why some businesses that plan to venture off overseas has to make sure the color(s) chosen means the same universally.
Color is everywhere, wear it & make your statement! And Remember, the color wheel is a phenomenal tool! Convey.
According to history, at the beginning of the 20th century, Professor A H. Munsell brought clarity to color communication by establishing an orderly system for accurately identifying every color that exists! Munsell based this on, “perceived equidistance,” the human visual system’s perception of color.
TMCOS (The Munsell Color Order System) is a three-dimensional model based on the premise that each color has three qualities or attributes: Hue, Value, and Chroma. He established numerical scales with visually uniform steps for each of these attributes. According to Munsell, he believed each color has a logical relationship to all other colors. This leads to endless creative possibilities in color choices. You can read more about Munsell and his theory on color here: http://munsell.com/
First Project
I was sitting here wondering how to start off my blog while listening to SOAD's Mezmerize album. So I’ve decided to, JUST BLOG! The college semester has been in full swing since the first day of classes. I’ve had homework ever since.
Today I’m going to blog about my first project for my Graphic Design class, Packaging, which is a class I’m definitely looking forward to this semester! We have to come up with a name for our product, the package design of it, color choices, and so forth... Read more at 1st Design Project of the Semester
