Drawing practice based on 1850's fashion plates
I've FINALLY started watching Transformers G1, and have started practicing how to draw transformers too
Some advice for anyone who's wanted to learn how to draw more realistic faces (aka me last week), try using an Asaro Head to practice.
The first one was created by John Asaro in 1976 to show the different planes of the face and how light falls on them, but as someone who never took any anatomy or figure drawing classes while studying art, the 3D models I've found online have been extremely helpful in learning the face planes and drawing the face from different angles.
The models I use, both Masc and Fem versions, were modeled by William Ngyuen and let you move both the head and where the light is coming from
Sketch practice from various victorian era photos and fashion plates
Substitute teaching sketches
I've got a new blorbo (also tried a little Ning yingying from memory)
More practice with historical dresses (plus a Chinese hanfu, historical accuracy unknown)
Practice drawings of Diona (plus her dad)
Hi, I've got an update on my online shop in the form of two new products, a ceramic mug (with colored handle and insides) and vinyl stickers. It took a bit longer than the tote bags to get these ready because neither looked as good as I wanted them to in the first samples I ordered, but they're here and ready now!
Both feature my red eft design, and 10% of the profit from the sale of these products will be donated to the Friends of Timbercrest, a volunteer group in western New York that helps maintain and run events at Camp Timbercrest, owned by the GSUSA. You can find all the red eft products here!
