it takes quite a bit of social intelligence for a creature to understand:

I know what I am doing is wrong

I know there is an activity that looks similar that is not wrong

If I am quick I can plausibly pass one off as the other

these cats are displaying remarkable theory of mind skills by not only registering that the humans can perceive them but actively trying to manipulate that perception! that requires one to be aware that other individuals have complicated interior thoughts of their own, to know that those thoughts are not always based on truth, and to quickly decide on the best possible “lie” for the situation. this is why I despise animal intelligence tasks based on obedience— some of the most clever moments stem from intelligent disobedience.

Physical exam: rubber hair band pulling the forehead skin too tightly, others within normal limit

Chief complaint: Choking on a ball, clawing at mouth, struggling to breathe

Physical exam/triage: Tongue stuck right through the middle of a Kong ball. Will not come off. Not obstructing airway but confusing the dog +++. Will try to drop the ball for you if you tell him to. This only adds to the confusion.

Treatment: A lotta lube, patience, and a very good boy.

Prognosis: Good! As long as no more hollow balls are within the household.

Treatment: removal of gummy bear. placed in bin

Oathbringer Part 3: Diplomat Loooooooong post, I know. This dialogue took way more panels than I expected. Since I also plan to post this on instagram, I experimented more with single size panels (and conjoined ones). I had a lot of fun with the Thaylen City scenery and that tiny bit of the Rift… Not a dramatic scene here, but one with a lot of little details I like: Dalinar moodily munching on nuts he randomly finds in his armrest, Navani knowing exactly whom she married and hey, even Sadeas pops up shortly…  well, onto whatever comes next :D

Why am I like this? I’m revising for my medical school finals and came across the fact that exposure to Cadmium increases the risk of urological cancers like renal, bladder and prostate cancer.
