Researching stuff for a fanfic can be so weird. If anyone would read what I googled they'd be like "Is she ok?"

In the last week or so I looked up stuff like "how fast does a horse travel", "history of firearms", "effecta of starvation on the body" and lots of russian and nordic mythology.

I kind of want to read a fic where the Little Palace is basically Hogwarts.

Alina and Mal are first years, maybe muggleborn with no idea about the magic world.

Aleksander, Ivan, Fedyor and Zoya are 3rd years and the stars of the Quidditch team

No romance, just a few adventures.

A good HP AU is always good. Every fandom needs a few Hogwarts AUs

You know what I want to read? A fic where it comes out that Darcy is Bucky’s granddaughter (or something similar) and she is dating Steve.

The tags to summary ratio on Ao3 has to be right.

I don't want to read untagged stuff. But I also will scroll past any fic that uses tags as some weird summary and doesn't give me a line what it is about

One of my pet peeves when reading fanfic is when people use very modern vocabulary/terms, while writing a historical fanfiction...

That moment when you're reading a good fanfiction... and then you see it is unfinished and hasn't been updated in over a year

No offense but the internet gives you the most wrong and fucked up idea of helping people because people get mad if you don't care about disasters happening in 72 countries, meanwhile the people in real life that are doing the most good picked one VERY SPECIFIC thing to care about and care about it REALLY HARD

Is it too basic to write a fanfic where Alina creates some kind of tunnel in the fold at some point?

She (and a few others) just need to go to West Ravka at some point...

When you have an idea for a fanfic. And you write it down to maybe follow it up when you have more time... But then the plot bunny runs from you, and suddenly you have multichapter fic and some side stories planned out.
