Yashiro said Doumeki was a baby bird following the first person he saw so it was not real love. Later he thought he hated him and was only trying to get back at him for throwing him away. Then he had a woman and was using him. Remember how upset he would get when Doumeki would say by your side, well he said it again, but changed it to stand shoulder to shoulder with him. I need this man to take Doumeki at his word and stop running around in circles in his mind. He keeps trying to find an answer that makes him feel secure. That was so apparent in his acceptance of Izumi being Doumeki's woman. Doumeki was straight when he met him so he must have went back to his normal sexual life. So his extracurricular activity with him was just to punish him. Yashiro has never believed he could be truly loved, so that made sense to him. He could relax in that scenario even though he was hurting with his own love. When had things ever gone his way, so just accept it and keep moving. He had always kept Doumeki at arms length but kept him close enough. First the impotence served that purpose and later Izumi. When Doumeki asked him if he really didn't understand. Yashiro went blank and then on defense. I felt as if Doumeki wanted to say you don't understand yourself or your motivations. 😭 So the confession came out and it was loud and clear. So everything he had thought about that love was a lie. He was loved deeply.

He had to take it in process it and see Doumeki for who he truly was, who he truly loved. He loved him more than his own life and safety. Everytime I see this picture it looks so sad. No one has ever loved him how can Doumeki. He almost looks like he is in pain. Doumeki looks fearful. Will he accept this, please don't run. So they both have to deal with the aftermath. What will Yashiro do when he knows Doumeki's punishment. He begged Misumi on his knees to save Kageyama's hospital. What will he do to save Doumeki from the consequences of loving him in the violent Yakuza world. 😪
