(Common Manners) Apex Legends Etiquette
1) NOT YOUR KILL, NOT YOUR LOOT
This doesn’t go for everything, especially in the beginning of the game when everyone’s scrabbling for shit. But if there is gold or purple loot (such as backpacks, body armour) it’s not yours. Person that made the kill should receive it. Especially if you were downed.
Someone going the extra length to revive you before they loot their kills shouldn’t turn around from doing so to find you wearing all the good shit.
2) LIFELINE’S PACKAGE, LIFELINE FIRST CHOICE
Lifeline calls in a care package and everyone converges on the gear inside it before she even gets a chance to do so.
I personally wait behind the Lifeline to see if she passes over stuff/pings some of the things to show she doesn’t need it. Simple manners.
I’ve been on many teams where we end up losing because Mr High-And- Mighty got loot hungry and decided to loot instead of reviving.
However, this ties in with rule #1. If teammates are constantly stealing loot, then of course it’s gonna happen. Every rule ties into one another. Lifeline might not revive you if you take everything from her package. Because it’s unfair and annoying.
4) DO NOT LOOT A TEAMMATE’S DEATHBOX
This is absolutely unacceptable to do. It doesn’t matter if they have better armour than you. It’s so fucking rude to steal their stuff out from under them.
The only time I’m ok with people looting my deathbox is when they take ammo because there’s a fight and they need it. Or it’s the very beginning of the game and they don’t have a weapon yet.
Respawn your teammate as quickly as possible. Even if the ring has closed, I have respawned teammates nearby even with the circle closed around us, dropped them a few syringes, and they were able to pick up all their shit again.
