10 ACCESSORIES EVERY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE
1. FLAMING SWORD
Aelin and Rowan.
I feel like everyone bangs on about Rhys (which is fine, no hate, because he is good) but can we take a second to apprecoate Rowan Whitethorn?!?!
I feel like he is very overlooked.
Can Catholics be vegan? Communion isn’t vegan. Is it? Is Jesus a legume?
Guys, please, I need a break. Veggie Tales doesn’t cover this and that is the extent of my theological training.
Alternative Discussion Points for ACOSF
Pretty sure I'm not the only one EXHAUSTED with the discussion points for this book. Poor Nesta is about to have an epic adventure, fall deeply in love, heal, and make things right for herself. But what are the discussion points?
The IC sucks.
The IC sucks.
The IC sucks.
The IC sucks.
I can't wait for Nesta to tell everyone to fuck off.
Feyre and Elain are HORRIBLE sisters.
Nesta already apologized!!!! She doesn't owe anyone anything!
Elain isn't important to the story.
Ha! I can't wait for Nesta to create her NEW family WITHOUT Feyre or Elain.
Elain can die.
Cassian doesn't deserve Nesta.
Everyone else sucks. Nesta is the only valid character.
Etc.
This rhetoric has made MANY feel unwelcome in this fandom. Including myself. The sad part is that I've gotten DMs from people that feel the same way. It's frustrating. I love Nesta, but where's the love? Because I'm not seeing it.
The beauty of ACOTAR is that they're all imperfect characters.
EVERYONE has messed up in one way or the other. It's NOT going to be an easy journey, and it's going to be messy. If it was going to be easy, this book wouldn't be 786 pages long. Alright, folks?
If you think Nesta is going up to the Illryrian Mountains to start kicking ass in Chapter 1, then this is NOT the book for you.
Nesta and other characters are in a real dark place, and tough topics will be brought up. Without a doubt. Some of you have a fanfic idea of what this book will be, and you need to tone it down or risk ruining this book for yourself. And what a shame that would be, because this book will be epic.
This is not to say you shouldn't critique things. No. That's a good thing! But maybe ask yourself first before you post:
Will this get people to talk in a positive way?
Am I actually speaking canon material? Where am I getting my discussion points from?
When was the last time I read the books? Did I skip pages?
Would my post alienate anyone?
When was the last time I gave support to a content creator?
Am I recognizing that they're all complex and imperfect characters, and adjusting my talking points to reflect that?
Now, with that being said. I want to be one of the first to turn it around. I know there's content creators busting their butts off to celebrate Nesta's journey, but I want to post some ideas for discussions. Because we're all collectively tired of the same shit.
Where do you think the dark power Nesta has comes from?
How do you think Nesta and Cassian's emotional walls start to break down?
What do you think the Queens are up to? The Illryrians?
Do you think Nesta could find a meaningful friendship with Azriel? What would it be like?
Nesta. Elain. Witches? Why or why not?
Do you think we're going to see more information on Cassian's Siphons? Why or why not?
See? It's that simple to take all that negativity, and actually get people excited again. There's a looooot to talk about past what we've being seeing on loop over and over again.
I'm going to post a longer discussion post on one of these topics. Again, these are just ideas to celebrate Nesta, and ACOSF in a meaningful and positive way. I suggest making your own posts if you're intrigued by any of these ideas. I'd like to see them take off.
Also. Consider joining Illyrianet on Discord. We have a Tumblr blog as well. It's a safe, bathorny, and positive space for all. We're very strict on people that do not follow guidelines. The purpose is for everyone to feel welcome.
Peace and love. ❤
I finally watched The Sound of Music and like I get it now, I get it.
It’s a beautiful two hour love story of a strict man finally opening his heart again and then a fifty minute public service announcement to hate the nazis. Brilliant.
You’re not wrong there…
Reblogging this version cuz those two gifs show the sexiest duality a man can have.
It’s me I’m the friend and I thought the Nazis were a subplot or subtle undertones NOPE they were OVERTONES

Sometimes I forget that Cassian and Azriel have seven siphons each compared to those other bitch ass Illyrians.
✨Fucking Seven✨
Reblogging for: “compared to those other bitch ass Illyrians.” 🤣🤣🤣
“Rowan fell to his knees before her, putting his head in her lap as his arms wrapped aroudn her waist “I can’t bear it, Aelin, I can’t””
—
Kingdom of Ash, SJM
This moment always breaks my heart in a million pieces. Rowan, our mighty, scary, ice prince falls on his knees in front of his mate, his equal, his queen, his wife and begs her. The man who probably never begged a single soul in his life is broken in this scene. We see him vulnerable while he begs Aelin not to give up her life to forge the locks. He is a long way from the cold-hearted warrior that we meet in Heir of Fire. The man who believed love was a weakness. And I don’t think I have enough words to describe how much I adore his character. From someone who think he is incapable of love again and only be a killing machine…. to this man, who is willing to show his vulnerable side only to Aelin… his mate.
And now… if you’ll excuse me… I am going to hide in a corner and cry… Kingdom of Ash always reduces me to a mess of feels and tears.
I’ll say it once, and I’ll say it again. Sarah J Mass has the potential for some beautiful lgbtq+ relationships (and canon lgbtq+ characters) if she was only less afraid to attempt them.
Yes, I’m looking at you Malide.
HELP BRAZILIAN READERS
so, in brazil, we have this gigant publisher called ‘galera record’ and and they publish most of the big titles and authors (here’s a list of some authors and books, but there are many more)
the problem begins with the absurd price they put on the books. it’s so expansive, most people can’t afford it. when they released koa (one year after the book was launched) it was cheaper to buy the original, hardcover, signed copy then the portuguese one. but then you say “okay, it’s expansive, but you’re paying for a high quality product, so it’s worth it” right? no.
here are some of the problems we have with this publisher:
1. the translations
i’m going to use a recent exemple, but you can find stuff like this in basically all their books.
they released the brazilian version of house of earth and blood, by sarah j maas this semester, and it was one of the most expected books of the year. they whitewashed ALL the non white characters. Hunt, Fury, Juniper, Isaiah... you name it, they whitewashed. it was absurd. all the fans ware so angry, we made it to the trends and they said that in the next edition they were going to fix it. but if you had already bought it, it’s your problem. you keep the racist copy or pay for the new one.
like i said, you can find things like this in most of their books. here we have Raphael from tmi (Cassie Clare) saying “i’m not gay. i’m not straight. i’m not interested.”, and they turned to “i’m not gay. I’m straight. i’m not interested.”
they literally changed his sexuality
and this is an old book, they never fixed. besides changing characters races, skin color and sexuality (among other absurd things), their books are poorly translated. wrong words, characters names spelled wrong, changes in the original texts that are not necessary or make sense
2. bad quality of the books
besides the poor translation, the books have a low quality. like, really low.
the paper they use it’s terrible and gets yellow with months (in the pictures, 1° one is books that i have for six years from other publishers and 2° have 3/4 years)
we’ve been complaining about this for YEARS, they aways say they will change the papers, but never do.
besides this we have other problems: books with missing chapters, books with the pages glued together, with whole pages missing, the bumps of the books not aligned, literally anything you can think about. and yet they put an absurd price no one can afford
3. lack of professionalism
this one is the most recent one. yesterday, the main editor of the publisher was “talking” against pirate books. i understand. it’s her job. but then she compared piracy with RAPE, RACISM AND MURDER and then made this joke, referring to a case that is running here in brazil, where a girl’s rapist was sentenced with “guilt rape”, witch is basically saying he didn’t meant to rape her. that’s not even legal and it’s so so so disgusting and wrong. we are still fighting to have justice brought to this case and this girl, and the main editor of one of the biggest publisher in the country had the nerve and lack of character to make a joke saying that reading in illegal epubs is “guilt piracy.”, when most people who read in illegal forms don’t have the money to buy books. we don’t have many libraries. it’s either read in epubs or don’t read at all. so besides having no compassion with all these peoples, she used an serious and disgusting issue as a joke.
that’s not the first time she’s involved in cases like this, and yet she was never fired or reprimanded. they just ignore it, because she’s the heir of the publisher, so i guess it’s okay she does this kind of thing
we are basically hostage of this publisher because it buys all the big titles and it’s either give them money or don’t read the books we love so much.
most of us cant read in english or cant afford to buy international copies, so if we want our favorites, we need to buy it from them. the reason for this thread is to ask you to help us bring attention to this. we are tired of the disrespect this is and we want authors to know who their selling their work to, and to know what is happening here. so please, tag the authors, publishers, managers ANYONE you can think of that will read this and be able to do something to help. please. we are so tired of having to deal with this, we just don’t know what to do.
thanks for reading, i’m so sorry for any mistakes, and please share this and tag people

“That gods-damned nightgown. Shit. He was in such deep, unending shit.”
— Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
Alright, let’s make some things clear, once and for all, because this clusterfuck is delightful:
FEYRE has all the reasons to harbour hard feelings towards Nesta. They do have unresolved conflict which none of the parts really know how to resolve. You could even argue that Feyre does not owe Nesta any kind of attention or care now and I would be kinda inclined to agree. What was truly shitty of Feyre was to actually BANISH her own sister from her fairytale ending just because she did not fit the perfect picture and hand her to Cass like an object.
RHYS is completely justified in his dislike towards Nesta. He is so devoted to Feyre that he will always and forever take her side in any potential conflit AND, due to this devotion, is not likely for him to forgive other people for inflicting pain on Feyre, even when she herself does grant this forgiveness. Rhysand doesn’t need to like or even understand Nesta - she’s his sister-in-law, he grants her protection on basis of that and so be it. To be honest, I don’t think it’s Rhysand’s cup of tea at all.
MOR does not have to like Nesta. Actually, she has hundreds of reasons not to and it would have been super unrealistic if she did. I don’t think that in 500 years of this Mor-Az-Cass clusterfuck there has ever been a bigger threat to this comfortable bubble of denial they have created than Nesta. Besides, Feyre is Mor’s bestie and her High Lady, so her loyality will always be with Feyre first and foremost. HOWEVER, I do believe Mor is intentionally doeing everything she can to create drift between Cassian and Nesta and, unfortunately, I think it has more to do with her own fear and insecurity than with her trying to protect him from heartbreak or sth. And this is - and incredibly selfish thing to do and also an incredibly wrong one. And it needs to be adressed.
AZRIEL did nothing wrong, fuck, SJM, give this man a hug pls
ELAIN is the one whom I actually DO have a problem with, because given how absolutely devoted Nesta is to her, you would think Elain would fight for her harder. She doesn’t. She fought for fucking GRAYSEN, but she doesn’t fight for Nesta. I believe that she is the most self-centered one in this whole mess, tbh. I can forgive Feyre for her conflict with Nesta, but never Elain.
CASSIAN is a fucking coward. There, I said it. He is in love with Nesta, she fucking calls to him, body and soul, and yet he refuses to fight for her, much like Elain does. He gives up on her and cannot deal with his own emotions to the the point when he fucking tells Nesta she’s unlovable. I adore this man, but damn, he will have to atone for that hard. Because boiiii, SHE MADE HER FEELINGS FOR YOU AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE. He needs to seriously set his priorities straight - cause as of acofas, he refuses to completely let her go while simultaniously refusing to committ to her. He refuses to understand her actions. He blames his own feelings on her. And I think that - again - this is all because he is so damn afraid of loving her the way he full well knows she simply has to be loved - completely and apologetically - cause loving her like that will put him in oposition to his own family. And who he is, if he is not absolutely devoted to them?
NESTA - honestly, let this girl heal. She is so broken and ruined in acofas and I do truly think she only continues to live because Fae bodies are so hard to kill. I don’t think she owes Cassian anything. She offered him her raw heart already. I don’t think she owes Elain more. She gave her her heart long ago. I don’t think she owes Mor or Rhys anything, besides being more civil with them. She does owe Feyre a completely honest conversation about their shared past, but, truth to be told, what she has already said to her in ACOTAR should’ve been at least enough for Feyre to start looking at her at least a bit differently ( which she didn;t). She is clearly mentally ill and depressed, and you cannot expect a person in such a ruined state to be a proactive part of any kind of relationship, romantic of otherwise. How fandom treats her depression in opossition to Feyre’s only shows that, unfortunately, a woman still has to be nice and sympathetic in order to be even considered worth care and affection.
Guys. They DON’T NEED TO ALL LIKE EACH OTHER. Nesta doesn’t need to enjoy Rhys’ company. She doesn’t need to be besties with Mor. The true conflict is not between Nesta and IC, not even at all. Nesta probably does not belong in the Court of Dreams in a straigh-forward sense, definitely not like Feyre does. Nesta and Cassian don’t have true conflict either, because they so clearly love each other, they just cannot be together for the time being because of their own personal conflicts - Nesta’s with her own issues and with her sisters AND Cassian’s with his own issues and with the IC.
And that’s the tea.
The sjm fandom has become a minefield. Have we forgotten how to share our opinions regarding our favourite/least favourite characters without cyber-strangling each other? Have we reaaally been wielding fictional characters as weapons against real people behind a screen? Do we need to sit down in a circle and re-learn how not to treat people, even over the Internet?
Some people fight harder for characters then they do for important causes in real life.
Characters are important to us. They help us. They make us smile when that seems impossible. They're an escape. We get it.
Now, can we be nice about it?
I'm getting the feeling stick, brb.
FUCK YES!!!!
I wasn’t expecting the next sneak peak until Monday (the 16th) but this is so beautiful. I need my girl to go on a healing journey, to claim her power ❤️🔥❤️
happy one week anniversary to whatever the fuck happened last thursday
