I just have the details needed to feel alright with the situation. anything further would need a sapphire, but mother easily blocks their future-vision at will. I can only get through because im both a diamond and not looking for specific futures. I physically cant. This isnt uncommon, Diamond powers are often dilute or crude, unrefined and broad- I don't know as much as I want to about these things, but I also dont get snagged on things such as unexpected timineline detours- also known as "source-hopping". sapphires and fusion-garnets can get lost when they cant find their footing in time. Theyre navigational and Im someone who wanders skillfully. I dont navigate, I explore and search. That means I can come in from obscure angles and trade success rate for details. She's going to be "okay", even if we haven't quite defined what "okay" is.

Vivianite is a gemtype or rarity without value, made not by injecting into the ground but directly into the bodies of living organisms, specifically early humanoids on earth, neanderthals. The type had to be phased out because only the neanderthal earthling form could actually incubate them. They gut the body while they form for its life, a single year instead of hundreds just to grow other gems. They burst out of the body with the gem placement identical to where they emerged, bodies segmented and malformed like a corrupted mannequin.

well I imagine so. its too cold for her, gemstones can get damaged further if theyre already worse for wear. The cold probably flexes her gem as slight angles, prying it open at miniscule levels. Similarly, cold means ice, and ice can form in the cracks of a gem and expand- cracking it further. Jasper is only as cold-resistant as a normal human now.

On that note, I think I'm going to avoid outside till further notice.... My gem... It's not 'cracked' per say but uh... If you run your finger over it you can feel really surface level crackes. More scratches then anything just... Scratches in the pattern of a crack. Nothing to worry about really. Like I said, surface level. And it doesn't hurt or anything like in the past-

I think you should still use some of that ointment-salve-stuff I got you a while back. Gem-care and skincare are similar, and regularity is a blessing for both. *I go to sit near the fireplace and open a portal outside for a second, yanking off a surprisingly-sized branch from a tree outside before closing the portal and breaking up the branch to put in the fireplace. a hand on one of the pieces of wood with my gem and paw-pads glowing as I set the broken pieces of branch alight in the fireplace.*

On the bright side, with the temperature so low and so much snow, I could make a decent-sized structure. I could put up a projected wall right now and just wait till its snowed on top of and let it compact under its own weight..
