Hey so what if like...

What if I made a little mha fic series exploring character development in different AUs. 🤗 Up first we have: what if Izuku took All Might's words to heart and spiraled down the path of villainy (but not insanity)? My ao3 tag is Rodie_Lei if you're interested... Here's a little peek 👀:

“Some villains just can’t be beaten without powers. So no, I honestly don’t think you can become a hero without a quirk.” My heartbeat pounded in my chest, his words sinking in like a sunburn on a hot day. They stung and they burned, almost as much as the salty tears that started to form in my eyes.

“What?” I asked, unable to fully gather myself at this moment. My voice cracked and trembled, an embarrassing yet wholly unavoidable display. I squeezed my fists at my sides. My whole life. I’d spent my whole life dreaming of this day, the day I’d meet my own personal hero. They say you should never meet your heroes, now it’s all starting to make sense.

I turned around right there, my feet moved before I could think, carrying me away from my hero, who stood idly as my dream buckled under the weight of his words.
