Team China wins Chess Olympiad in Batumi
In the 11th and final round of the open section of the 2018 Chess Olympiad, all draw between China and the U.S. left the two teams and Team Russia (who defeats France) at the top of the final ranking with the same score: 8 wins, 1 loss and 2 draws.
So tiebreaks criteria going into the round: China’s previous opponents outperformed the U.S’s past foes, and the final calculations were China: 372.5, U.S.: 360.5 and Russia 354. Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Then Ding Liren, Yu Yangyi, Wei YI, Bu Xiangzhi and Li Chao take the Open Titles for China.
Team USA, Fabiano Caruana (the world title challenger), Wesley So, Hikaru Nakamura, Samuel Shankland and Ray Robson, take the silver medal.
Last place on final podium for Sergey Karjakin, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Vladimir Kramnik, Nikita Vitiugov, Dmitry Jakovenko.
The individual best player of the Olympics was the Peruvian Jorge Cori.
For the board prizes, Ding Liren wins board 1, Nguyen Son (VIE) board 2, Jorge Cori (PER) board 3, Daniel Fridman (GER) board 4, Anton Korobov (UKR) the reserve.
In women’s tournament Team China wins again with Wenjun Wu, Yang Shen, Qian Huang and Tingjle Lei. Silver for Ukrane, the bronze goes to Georgia

Brazil left Serbia not even a glimmer of hope, as they cruised past the Balkan side 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-22) in the first semifinal of the 2018 FIVB Men’s World Championship, Saturday evening at Turin’s Pala Alpitour.
Brazil, will now compete in their fifth straight and sixth overall final of a World Championship, vying for their fourth world title.

Remco Evenepoel, 18-yrs-old, is a junior Belgian cyclist. He won both time trial and road race at 2018 World Junior Road Cycling Championship in Innsbruck, and again both competition in European Junior Road Championship.
For his way of dominating junior competitions, he was nicknamed “le nouveau Merckx” (the new Merckx). Remco will join Pro Team Quick-Step Floors in 2019.

Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka will be trying to make history in the U.S. Open final:
Serena Williams has the chance to claim her first Grand Slam trophy after pregnancy.
Naomi Osaka can become the first Japanese woman to win a Major Title, and the second asian after china’s Li Na.
Winning the final serena will achieve her 7th us open title and equal Margaret Court’s record of 24 majors.
Naomi have beaten Williams in this year in Miami Masters.
“Even when I was a little kid, I always dreamed that I would play Serena in a final of a Grand Slam. Just the fact that it’s happening, I’m very happy about it.” Osaka said.
