Feline Fatale

Concern laces his face when the feline sniffs but doesn’t eat, and his expression goes blank. He wonders if she wants something to drink, before crossing his legs and sitting across from the feline. “Are you not hungry?” He asks, confused. “Oh!” His cheeks color faintly. “I didn’t insult you, did I?” He looks completely embarrassed, head going directly to his hands in mortification. “I’m sorry – I didn’t mean any disrespect.” He insists, feeling slightly silly for talking to a cat.

      It was cute how he was talking to a cat most people wouldn’t even but then again those who did had every right of doing so. Cats were living creatures who understood, even if they couldn’t reply back. This feline, however, could. And it was time to show him so.

    “It’s alright, child. You didn’t disrespect me too much.” Came the reply in a very sagely old male voice. “Thank you for the food. Could I have some water first?”
