your eating disorder is lying. your eating disorder is LYING. your eating disorder will tell you things about food that are not rational or true. do not believe it. your eating disorder is not your friend, it is LYING TO YOU. remember that.

how are you & how is life?💐
hi love! i’m doing pretty well :) life is busy, i’m a full time nanny at the moment and loving it. 💗

i was baptized, received my first holy communion, and was confirmed into the Catholic church this past saturday during the Easter vigil mass and i am elated. so so happy to have finally come home <3
how are you doing lately!
hello! i’m doing pretty well :) it seems like my life plans for next year is falling into place and that’s very relieving. i have some residual stress from changing a lot of things in my life at the same time, and i’m also feeling grateful to be able to have these chances for change. <3
Do you practice veiling? I’m not a catholic, but I am a Christian and it’s something I’ve been feeling I should do, but I don’t know many people who do it.
yes, i do! i wear a mantilla in church and during prayer, and i may switch to a scarf that i wrap loosely around my head so it’s not as formal. i’m honestly very insecure about it because i don’t know anyone else who veils :( so sometimes i get discouraged and i don’t wear one, even though it feels wrong to me not to. i would encourage you to pray about it and seek guidance from The Lord!

honestly a good partner isn’t necessarily someone who loves the exact same things you love but rather someone who is willing to listen to you ramble on and on about a particular subject that you’re passionate about even if they have little to no interest in it
i think that when god made stealing a mortal sin he didn’t know that walmart would ever exist
I’m absolutely not a rabbi, but I’ve been thinking a lot about this, actually, and what stealing might mean to gd. and I know this post is probably a joke but like I said. been thinking about it a lot.
So what a lot of people may not know is that the Torah is mostly like. a farming manual. A day-to-day life guide for 6,000 years ago. And so it has instructions for harvesting, of course. But it says specifically that you shouldn’t reap all the way to the edge of your field, and that you should leave that for the poor. It also says that you shouldn’t take the fallen grapes from your vineyard, and to leave that also for the poor. And a lot more little things like that.
So why is it encouraged? Why doesn’t it count as stealing for the poor to take the food you grew?
I think that gd’s definition of stealing would, in this case, punish you if you did take the fallen food from your fields, because you’d be taking it from the mouths and bellies of people who clearly desperately need it. It’s not the poor who are stealing, because they are simply trying to survive. I think gd wants us to remember, in our harvests, in our successes, that we have a duty to give what we can to those who need it, and if we don’t, that’s stealing from our fellow human.

8: describe your taste in music?
i like folk music a lot, and i also really live lofi hip hop. i also listen to a bit of jazz, classical piano and the occasional trending pop song because they’re fun to jam out to.
2: what languages do you speak?
i speak english and i have very very little ability to speak some french as well. just enough to get around in a french speaking country.
22: diagnosed with anything?
lol yes. idk where i’m at in terms of my diagnoses now but i have dealt with depression, anxiety, ed’s and a lot of dissociation for most of my life. i’m pretty healthy now though!
23: a story from your childhood?
hm.. it’s hard to pick one. i’ve been reflecting a lot on the garden fairy books that i used to read as a child and how i would pretend to be a fairy and stick leaves in my hair and race around in my yard trying to see if i could fly :)
16: are you religious or spiritual?
yes! i was buddhist for four years, and i am now close to the end of my conversion to become a member in full communion with the Catholic Church. i take my religion very seriously and i LOVE learning about theology (both christian and non christian) and expanding my practice.
thanks so much for sending an ask, lovely!
9. & 12.? 🖤
9: who do you love the most in this world?
in this world, my brother and my boyfriend are tied in terms of how much i love each of them :)
12: if capitalism wasn’t what controls our world, what would you spend your days doing?
it depends on if you want to know what i’d spend my days doing currently, or in the future. right now, i think i would spend my days really trying to learn tradition crafting skills. i would want to become talented with baking, embroidery, sewing, basket weaving, and other traditional women’s artistry. in a few years, i would want to be a stay at home mother and full time homemaker <3
thank you so much for your questions!

um seriously? like i haven’t seen you since i was seven and i love you with my whole heart. we stopped speaking because you hurt my feelings and i sometimes look at that bracelet we shared. there is no healing. there is no going back. there’s no knowing if they think about it as much. there is just nostalgia and aching when you walk past cherry trees
