Yeah, it’s around here somewhere… or somethin’?“ Kai replied, though his tone was not quite sure. He looked around the street as they walked through town… it was down this street, right? Or… was it that street? Shit…
Kai turned and started walking down another street. It was this direction, he was pretty sure…? Since he didn’t technically have a Battling Pokemon, he didn’t really go there that often… but he had been there a few times! It was totally this way!
“You...You got us lost, didn’t you?”She accused after following him a bit longer. “This is taking even longer than doubling back would’ve!” Whether that last statement was actually true or not was a different story. “Hold on,”She said, before taking off into a run. She launched herself into the air and above the buildings. She misjundged her angle, and wobbled a bit, but she was able to right herself and get a good look at the area before coming back down. “I figured out where it is,”She made sure her dress and scarf were straight and in place before turning to face Kai. “It’s this way,”She said, walking off.
“Dang Anime and Mangos.”
“Those are...two very different subjects you put together there, friend. I can’t help but wonder why?” Oops she believes him to be talking about cartoons and fruit.

Kai gestured at himself, as he started walking in an adjacent path to the one he had been originally going, “I’m Kai!”
“My name’s Chiyo, it’s nice to meet you, Mirei!“ She pointed down the road, “But um…. I’m sorry, but I’m going to keep going towards class. I’ll see you later!“
She gave the two of them a wave, and broke into a job back down the road. Kai of course, didn’t look back, “See ya!” He was a little too distracted to think of class right now.
Mirei waved back, before following Kai. They walked a little ways before she spoke up again,”Where do I recognize you from again?”
She wasn’t really looking at Kai, more of at the buildings around them for that familiar red roof. “We’re getting close right? I don’t want Co’Tony to be mad if I take too long getting him healed.” And also class is a thing, but details.

Kai stopped so suddenly that Chiyo nearly ran right into his back as he saw a battle taking place nearby.
“Oof!“ Chi gasped, and pulled her arm away from him, “Jeez! Why are we-“ She paused to follow his gaze towards the battle, right as the Preschooler started cheering, “A battle? Jeez Kai! You’ve got a one track mind!“
she paused for a second, “Hey wait… isn’t that Mirei?” Kai turned to look at his sister, “Who?” “Jeez! You should pay more attention!“ Chiyo chastised, “Mirei, she’s like… in our class!“
Before he could respond, the two heard the girl called over to them, and both of their attention’s turned back to her.
“Yeah!“ Kai replied, faster than Chi could. He ran over towards her, and pointed at himself, “But if I tell ya, you gotta battle me next! Okay?“ Chiyo groaned, and cupped her hands to her cheeks, “What happened to being late?!”
Naturally, Kai ignored her, and added, “Sound cool?”
“Uh....” She were running really late, and she did just get beat by a toddler but....If it got her to a center faster... “If you show me and wait until Co’Tony is all healed up then sure? He’s my only pokemon right now,” She called the injured bird back to his pokeball because it was important that she didn’t forget him. Actually, after that she double checked that he was in his ball. “Let’s go then, okay?” “I’m Mirei by the way,” She clearly didn’t recognize either of them although she could’ve sworn she’s seen them around somewhere. Maybe they go to the same school?
“Ah crap! We’re gunna be late!“ Kai gasped, as he whipped out the front door, and down the steps leading from his apartment complex, and onto the street. Dammit! If he’s late one more time, the Professers were going to roast him alive!
He whirled around on the damp grass, and turned to face a blonde-haired girl, as she exited the apartment complex behind him, and pointed at her, “This is yer fault! I should’ve left with Ryu, instead of waiting for you!”

At least they wouldn’t be the only two people late to class. Mirei was standing next to the side walk with a much younger child and her Pichu cheering a bit further away.
“We...Lost?” Mirei said, looking down at the fainted bird at her feet. That was her first ever battle too.
She called the pokemon back to his ball as the preschooler who had challenged her said,”Duh! Chuchu and I are the bestest team ever!” “I need to get to a PokeCenter! Wait, what time is it?” She still really needed to get to the Center first, but would she be able to make it to class in time? “Hey! Hey you two!” Yes, she was ignoring the now huffy small child behind her in favor of Kai and Chi,” Please tell me there’s a PokeCenter closer to the Ace Academy than the one back that way!” She pointed in the direction they had come from.

“I still don’t know what I’m going to name this little guy....” The camera turns to show a Swablu sleeping on her head, before focusing back on her face. “At first I thought Fluffy? And then I was like, but also Cloudy? But Cloudy sounds just as childish....Maybe Cloud?”
“But Cloud sounds kinda like a nonsense starter. I’m not sure why, but it kinda does.” “Or Co’Tony?”

“I bet they do!” Not. She really wasn’t sure if that was an actual flavor. She hoped they did so Engel could get what she wanted. She grabbed her friend’s hand and led the way.
She hoped this was the right way, she probably should’ve written the directions down....
But there it was in all it’s frozen sugar glory. “I think I’m gonna want two flavors today!” Because she didn’t get them lost today!

“ I’ve asked Arceus, and the Holy Suggestion is ZIGGURAT! “ – and then, from the force and excitement of this gesture, slipped off the bench and landed on her butt.
“Ziggurat?”That sounded interesting too, and Arceus suggested it. Although, that did sound a bit far fetched...What she’s heard about Engel (from Engel) makes her claims sound more legitimate...Oh, she was going to have to think hard about this. “Speaking of, we should go to an ice cream shop soon, like there’s one that apparently just opened a block from the pokecenter.” How is that a speaking of?
“He’ll win next time.”
“I can’t wait to see Kai perform! I bet it’s gonna be great!”
