what's that? no, I'm sure they're fine. You're being overprotective again.
Where was I? Oh right. My name is Florentius-
no, I don't need water right now, the headache is from YOU.
I'm-
Could I please have THIRTY SECONDS? Thank you.
FLORENTIUS BAENIUS, AT YOUR SERVICE! I have a few choice items for sale, though I'm not quite sure what at the moment... or how much any of it costs. We'll find out both if you need any of them!
Arkay says you're just here for a shiny bow and some sun spells, but I'm sure you'll help us out in other ways. Right?
Anyway, since you're here, let me go other some questions others have asked me before:
What do you have for sale?
Potions my friend, potions! Possibly some spells. Maybe some other things I've forgotten about. Actually I'm not sure. Let's see, shall we?
Can you train me in Restoration?
A noble cause. Arkay likes the idea very much, so I'm happy to help.
Those are the only things people tend to ask me, actually. I get a little lonely sometimes, but Arkay likes the peace and quiet. When Gunmar isn't hammering at the forge. Arkay asked me to tell him to "stop that infernal hammering before I blow a gasket"; I swear my cheek is still bruised.
[OOC: This is a crack roleplay blog. I might get bendy with Florentius's character as time goes on as a result, and I'll probably inject my own headcanons here and there. Don't take it too seriously <3]
[If you drop an ask, I will probably answer it. NSFW asks will likely be turned into jokes because roleplaying those kinds of things is a tad difficult for me, but in general don't be afraid to drop anything in the ask box.]
Lovely. I'll make sure to grab it. Put it in my room, it's the only place Celann doesn't try to obsessively rearrange. Strange dreams are much better than the ones I've been having...
Hey, how are you doing, with Arkay splitting in half first and then going on vacation? Are you ok?
@miscellaneous-people-of-tes
Ay and I had some pleasant conversations, though Ark is a bit more... macabre than I'm traditionally accustomed to. It was a strange adjustment at first, but eventually we got into a rhythm.
I still keep up with their antics on here, but it's been nice to have my head to myself for a while.
She had always meant to return earlier but strangely she kept being side-tracked by one thing or another. And she only remembered to grab the ‘toys’ Florentius requested last minute, stuffing them in her back. Thankfully, the boots Talos had gifted her proved to be quite useful, making the journey considerably shorter.
Freya miraculously left a note for her follower, who she left sleeping at one of her houses. Mentally, she patted herself on the back as her feet found purchase on the group again.
I’m such a considerate friend, she thought, nodding to herself.
The problem? Freya’s handwriting proved to be rather illegible unless one was used to the strange, spidery scrawl. It probably didn’t help that sometimes; she wrote in her first language – Nordic.
But she hadn't done that again, had she?
Shrugging the thought away, she sauntered to the doors of Fort Dawnguard, entering rather lackadaisically.
“Hello, hello, is Florentius around?”
She really, really hoped they were.

Yes yes I'm here. Did you find the artifact? I feel like it's been a long while since you've been here.
Arkay's tangled in a bit of a mess right now, so I've been twiddling my thumbs waiting for you to return... or for anything to happen, really.
Freya had the good grace to flush in embarrassment, a hand idly scratching at her cheek, those cold blue eyes slinking off to some corner of the room. Unable to or unwilling to meet his gaze.
“Yes, eh – you know, dragonborn business has kept me rather busy.”
Mostly. It was mostly dragonborn business.
Gently she placed her pack in front of him instead of tossing it haphazardly across the room. Last time that hadn’t gone over so well, and she actually remembered to be gentle with the things Florentius sent her after.
“Yes, right here, safe, sound,” and added, “unbroken.”
Sprawling like a jarl in a seat across from him, she folded her hands on her stomach, her head tilting to the side. “I’ve heard,” she drawled, her eyes now crawling back to examine his face, gauging the amount of worry she might find there.
“I went to Akatosh, who in return,” the corner of her left eye twitched, “sent me on a mission to find an ally.” She inhaled slowly, deeply, “I hope you have an idea on who that might be.”
Deep, slow breaths, she mentally told herself, her eyes closing and her head leaning backward. The itch between her shoulders returned and her teeth ached from how hard she clenched them, a muscle jumping along her jawline.
“No,” she muttered, her voice strained, “they did not, not a hint, not a clue...”
Straightening, she held a finger up, “Excuse me for a moment ...”
Leaping from her seat Freya stomped to the door, opened it, her Thu’um thrumming out fiercely from her chest, the shout sent harmlessly out to the skies, “Joor Zah Frul!”
Somewhere, a confused dragon has landed on a group of bandits.
Feeling better, she returned to her chair, her hands now splayed across the surface of the table between them, “So, you don’t have any ideas? Has anything strange happened around here?
Well, there is that Dunmer... Casimar, I think his name was? He's been around somewhat; had some incidents too. Surely that's not who we're after though?

Florentius, is everything alright with you and Arkay?
I found the merchant you sent me off to rescue and she's fine, but her kidnappers had moved to a different cave than the one you told me, and that never happens.
When I prayed to an altar on my way back here for broken leg reasons, then, I could've sworn someone was yawning in the distance while I received the blessing. I left some coffee as an offering, by the way.
Anything odd going on?
Lurendil of @miscellaneous-people-of-tes
Lady Arkay has recently been plagued by hitherto unfathomed levels of fatigue, to the point that she can only yawn in response to most petitions. Don't take it personallt; she's still answering prayers.
We are yet to find answers as to where this fatigue is coming from. She is taking a nap right now.
Unfortunately, all we have to go on is the one symptom: exhaustion. I must admit, it is a peculiar situation. I can only speculate what it might be.
It is possible that another god is involved. Siphoning power, or perhaps playing a prank. I think the primary suspects would be those opposed to Arkay. Mannimarco immediately comes to mind, of course. Molag Bal seems a likely candidate, as well. Jyggalag has been unnervingly quiet since joining us here, and he does have a history of antagonizing other gods; However, I doubt he would take this specific approach. Sheogorath, on the other hand, seems more likely to do something like this as a "friendly" prank, though it seems odd that he would target Arkay, specifically.
I shall endeavor to do some research and see if I can find anything useful.

Just the priest I was looking for. Your pre-established connection to otherworldly entities means I'm more likely to get through to you than through Isran's thick skull.
I have a bone to pick with your little group. The Dawnguard killed one of my favorite worshippers. We can safely say that the Aedra can't protect that fort forever... especially considering how stubborn and unwilling the illustrious Isran is when it comes to any external help.
But... I can forgive and forget! I'm not unreasonable! Send the dragonborn who helped kill my Harkon to Markarth—they won't get hurt, most likely, I'd just like to have a chat. I'll promptly put all of the Dawnguard's transgressions out of my mind!
Deal?
— @lord-of-brutality
Molag Bal? Molag FUCKING Bal?
I... I'm not afraid of you, Bal. Okay that's a lie I'm actually quite terrified, but I'm no stranger to fear. I was imprisoned by a bunch of possesses Vigilants once and pretty sure I was going to meet Lady Arkay in the... glowing flesh, and during that I was still ready to fight tooth and nail despite the odds.
You think I'm going to take a deal with you - the foulest of the foul - because you're what, going to attack the fort some more? Don't make me laugh, Arkay's already told me some corny jokes today and I'm at my limit for that.
Thanks for the warning though! I'll mention this to Isran; he'll probably think I'm babbling again but at the end of the day he's learned to take me seriously.
So in case it's not clear: no. I will not send one of our friends to one of your little traps alone. If you really want to start another Planemeld, you're welcome to get kicked out of Nirn on your demon buttocks all over again.
"Hey.. Florentius, you haven't had any.. uhm... direct incidents with uh.. The Father of Vampires... have you? Haven't heard him taunting or threatening you? Asking for a friend of course. No other reason."
@vestige-of-hammerfell
I have not... other than the vampire attacks, but those are normal.
Sorayne... should I be concerned? Do you need to tell me something? Or Isran?

Hello.. friend.. ignore me being out of breath, I ran quite fast over here..
I think Sheogorath was telling the truth, do you have any more of those painkillers? Because I have a bad feeling that Sheogorath has put a baby in his spine.. I can't explain.
@ask-general-tullius
IN HIS SPINE??? DID HE PUT A WOMB THERE? OR DOES ULFRIC ALREADY HAVE ONE? IS THE BABY JUST THERE????
I can bring painkillers absolutely but I think we have more pressing concerns than the pain such as how that thing will be getting OUT.
fuck it. impromptu divine tea party on RKHET where i also turn death off for a little while, so enterprising heroes of tamriel can do stupid shit without fatal consequences.
Usually I'd say it's not safe because of your condition and my realm's general hostility to undead, but since I turned death off for this... sure! You might get a headache, but Florentius will have some painkillers :]
Weeeell Serana muddies the waters a bit when it comes to our "zero tolerance" policy. I'm not saying you are currently an exception, but it's possible y'know?

Stendarr, sweet brother of mine. I am the god of life and death. I turned death itself off for this tea party. I will invite the Daedra to my tea party if I damn well want to.
You can sit down and enjoy some of the fancy Morrowind teas Vivec brought. Or you can sit on THENDR and hum and huff about it alone.
[OOC] PSA on Tagging!! (Important read if you too run an Elder Scrolls RP blog, I think)
It has come to my attention that many of us are not tagging our shit properly. I'll admit as I'm relatively new to the tumblr ecosystem this did not properly occur to me, but apparently tagging matters way more here than on other platforms.
It allows people who prefer not to see our shenanigans to filter our stuff out, without outright blocking us (and thus, our main blogs (because apparently blocking a sideblog blocks the main blog too? not clear on that))
I'd like to apologise to any poor tesblr enjoyers who were inundated with my posts against their will; I had no idea this mattered so much, so I'll be making a more concerted effort to tag appropriately from here on out.
I'll be using the tag '#tes rp' under all future in character posts to the best of my ability (and retroactively tagging old ones as they crop back up), so with that knowledge if you'd like to filter out my in character shenanigans, that'll be the tag to block.
