“You know, you’re getting a little pathetic,” Cecil informed Will as he plopped down onto the ground next to him.

“Shut up, who asked your opinion?” responded a grumpy Will. He was sitting against a tree, in perfect view of the sword arena, watching Nico instruct a class. This had been his routine for the past week; he told himself it was for safety reasons, that he could quickly assist anyone if there was a medical emergency, but he knew that that was a big fat lie. He just wanted to see the Italian.

It was the first day of summer, and Nico planned to make the most of his three free months before he started his senior year at the public high school; this included sleeping in until at least noon, eating whatever the hell he wanted, and playing video games the rest of the time in his room with the curtains closed. He was already on his way to success, stumbling into the kitchen at one in the afternoon, still in his plaid pajama pants and old t-shirt. He rummaged around the pantry for a bit, then emerged with the sugariest cereal he could find, making himself a bowl with the rest of the milk in the fridge. He quickly scrawled “milk” on the grocery list on the fridge, then leaned against the kitchen counter to enjoy his breakfast – or was it lunch? Either way, he was quite content.

Featuring Artist Nico and Doctor Will! I also used @ask-will-and-nico's oc Carter! I love their blog! *** "Papa?" Carter called from the doorway of the living room. Nico was sitting on the couch. He looked up from his book to look at his son. Carter was only thirteen, but he was threatening to stand taller than Nico. Well, it wasn't like he was very tall in the first place. "Yes, Carter?" Nico replied. "What do you need?" Carter held up a notebook with a sheet of paper sticking out of it. "Will you help me with my homework?" Nico eyed the notebook. "Is it math?" Carter nodded. "Um, go ask your dad. I'm busy right now." Nico said, even though his book was boring. "Okay." Carter said as he walked out of the room. *** Will and Nico were lying down in their bed. It was after ten o' clock in the evening, and Carter was asleep. Nico and Will talked in hushed tones. "Nico, I'm starting to get kind of busy even when I'm not at work because of the promotion." Will said. "I know." "You're going to have to start helping Carter with homework instead of me." "And how, Will?" Nico said exasperatedly. "I never went back to school after fifth grade! I don't know how to do Pre-Algebra!" Will put an arm around his husband. Nico turned to look at Will with his big, brown doe-eyes and pursed his lips. "Come on, Neeks. Don't give me that look." Will complained. "I'm scared to tell Carter that I don't know how to do eighth grade math. I don't want Carter to think I'm dumb, Will." Nico mumbled. "You're being ridiculous. Carter would never think that." Will said. "We'll figure something out, I promise." Nico sighed but didn't say anything. "Let's go to sleep, okay?" Will proposed. Nico nodded. "Goodnight." "Goodnight." Will said. "I love you." "Love you too." *** Two days later, Will came home from his job at the hospital to find Carter sitting on the couch upside-down, watching TV. "Where's Papa?" Will asked his son. "In your room." Carter replied. "He said he's working on a project." "A project? In our room? But he'll get paint everywhere!" Will cried. "Nico!" Will dropped his bag and rushed up the stairs to his room, two at a time. "I said no painting in the bedroom, Nico!" Will exclaimed as he opened the door. "It's almost impossible to remo-" Will stopped short when he realized that Nico was only sitting down on his side of the bed they shared with a laptop in his lap. He wore a confused look on his face due to Will's outburst. "I, Carter told me you were working on a project." Will said meekly as he closed the door. "I thought you were working on a painting." Nico shook his head. "Not that kind of project." Nico gestured to his laptop screen. "Look at this." Will climbed onto the bed and peered over Nico's shoulder. The screen showed a paused video about how to find the surface area of rectangular prisms. "I've decided to go back to school." Nico said proudly. "You did?" Will wrapped his arms around his husband. "I'm so proud of you!" Will planted a kiss on the back of Nico's neck, making him shiver. "I don't want Carter to be embarrassed of me because I never even graduated elementary. I'm thinking that once I can do eighth grade math, I'll take online high school courses." Nico said. Will kissed Nico on the lips. "I'm so proud of you, Nico. And I know that Carter will be too."

How Nico Met Jason (Platonic Jasico)

Mortal AU! *** Nico sat down in a chair. He leaned forward to put his head in his hands and sighed. He let a few minutes pass by just to enjoy to silence. Nico sensed someone sitting down in the chair next to him. Nico peered through the cracks of his fingers to study the person. It was a teenage boy, probably only just a few years older than himself. The boy had blond hair, blue eyes, white skin, and the stereotypical white boy hairstyle. Nico immediately felt nervous; white boys scared him. The boy leaned back in the chair, letting his head dangle over the back. He sighed as if he felt as rubbish as Nico did. He looked at Nico and his position. "Long day, huh?" the boy said. "More like a long life." Nico mumbled through his fingers. "I know the feeling. My girlfriend just dumped me. She said she was into another person, my best friend. Who is a girl." Nico lifted his head out of his hands and eyed the boy suspiciously. "You homophobic?" The boy shook his head. "No. I just don't support it." "Good then, because I'm gay." "Hello, Gay," the boy smiled, "I'm Jason." Nico smirked at Jason. "My name is Nico, you idiot. And that sucks, by the way." Jason sighed through his nose. "Life sucks." "You can say that again." "Life sucks." "You didn't have to actually say it again." "I know. I just wanted to." Jason said. "Why does your life suck?" For some reason, Nico kind of liked Jason. He seemed like a nice guy and not some ass who was going to bully him. Jason was friendly. Nico didn't feel very reluctant to tell him his life problems. "I really like this one guy," Nico said. "I'm trying to get closer to him by getting in his friend group, but his friends are kind of scary." "That doesn't seem so bad." Jason said. "Yeah, but he asked out one of the girls in his group." "Oh." Jason said. "Also I got into a huge fight with this person who I consider to be my only friend even though he probably hated me even before the fight." "Well," Jason paused, "we're friends now. That makes things less sucky, right?" Nico looked at Jason with a bit of surprise. A friend? Nico smiled. "Yeah. Only a tiny bit though." Jason laughed. *** I need promptssss.

Mermaid AU! *** Perseus brought his serpent-like tail closer to his chest, slightly blushing. His sea-green scales shimmered right were his legs should have been, if he had been human. Piper laughed teasingly at his soft heart. Nicolas sat from a distance grinning, trying to conceal his snickers. "You're exaggerating." Perseus mumbled. "I beg to differ," Nicolas spoke. He stretched out his raven-black tail. "you haven't lured anything in the past month except for a tuna fish." Perseus blushed a deep red. "I've lured more than that! Remember the sail boat with the two fishermen?" Piper laid down against the warm sand. Her pink scales caught the sun a certain way so that whenever Perseus looked at them he was blinded. "Oh yeah. Nicolas wasn't here to see that. You were very proud of yourself." "Well, until I see you lure real humans here," Nicolas stated, "then I refuse to believe that you're actually capable of doing it." Perseus sat up indignantly. The sea-green fins on the side of his face flared. "I can too lure in humans. Watch, I'll go do it right now." Perseus dove into the water and left the other sirens resting on the beach. He was going to prove that he was not a failure and that he could lure humans into the sharp rocks surrounding the tropical island. He swam until he found a large, smooth rock that broke the surface of the water. It was big enough that when Perseus sat at the very top, he could see everything there was to see within a few mile's radius. It wasn't even that far from the island. He scanned the early morning horizon until he found a large ship in the distance. This was it. This was his chance to prove Piper and Nicolas wrong. Soon the ship was only a couple hundred feet away. Perseus started to sing his mesmerizing song that he hoped would be powerful enough to lure the ship back to the island. *** As soon as Captain Annabeth Chase heard the singing, she knew things we about to get interesting. "All members on deck!" She cried. In less than a minute, about thirty people stood in front of her. "Alright, there's a siren in these waters, and I'm not going to let it hypnotize us into a whirlpool or some other death wish. I intend to capture it, and let the Argo || be the first ship ever known to have a live siren on board!" She announced. The crew members cheered. "Now, I want the strongest people on deck up and ready for anything that could happen. I want you to seal your ears with wax to block out the song it'll be singing. Everyone else stay below deck until called for." The captain watched the crew scuttle about getting into position. "Jason!" She called. A male, young adult came into view. He had broad shoulders that sported a loose, white button-up shirt tucked into brown pants, tucked into black boots. His sun-bleached hair contrasted greatly against his tan skin. "Yes, capt'?" He asked semi-jokingly. He was very close friends with Annabeth but he knew that she would not appreciate being taken too lightly. The captain smiled. "Drop the anchor. I'm not risking getting entranced by the creature by getting any closer than we are. We'll wait for it to come to us." *** Perseus had been singing for about forty minutes now and his throat really hurt. The ship was still the same small dot in the distance that it had been almost an hour ago. Piper and Nicolas were probably expecting him to come back any minute now, without any humans. Refusing to go back to the island empty-handed, Perseus decided to swim towards the ship to try his luck closer to his prey. Soon, Perseus neared the hull of the ship. He decided that he would sing from there and convince the crew to sail towards the island. Perseus sang once again. His beautiful song calling to the humans up above. The melody's magic would have caused all of the crew to jump overboard if it wasn't for the wax plugging their ears. Another few minutes passed and Perseus wondered if he really was a failure. He began to swim home defeated when a weighted net was cast over him. Perseus was so confused that he realized what was happening far too late. As the net headed for the surface, he thrashed and cried for any sea creature that would help him. He was so close to the surface that he could hear human voices shouting aboard the ship. Perseus pulled at the net and tried to cut through it with his razor-sharp teeth in vain. His head broke the surface of the water and the crew cheered. Perseus cried for freedom as the crew struggled to get the siren on the deck. *** "Aye, we got 'em now!" Yelled one of the men hoisting the thrashing net onto the deck. Boy, did Perseus put up a fight. He punched, kicked, and clawed about every pirate that came into reach. The crew had such a hard time getting him out of the water that as soon as Perseus gave them a chance, the crew practically threw him onto the deck, rendering him powerless. Or so the pirates thought. When Jason approached the siren to untangle him from the net, Perseus used his tail to smack Jason in the gut with such force that he flew about ten feet backwards. Realizing how strong he was against his captors, Perseus slapped everybody he could with his tail as an attempt to freedom. Eventually, Perseus tired and could no longer fight. He sang as his final defense. His song was so powerful that even with the wax in their ears, the crew stopped everything that they were doing in confusion. "You idiots! Don't fall under his magic!" Annabeth cried. Snapped back to reality, Jason lunged forward and wrapped his hands around the siren's throat. A look of pure terror washed across Perseus' face as he realized that he had been defeated and probably would not be returning home. Jason squeezed the siren's neck as hard as he could. As soon as the siren's face started turning the color of his tail, Jason loosed his grip a little. Perseus gasped and grabbed the hands wrapped around his throat, but Jason held his ground. The captain came into Perseus' view, grinning triumphantly. Blood dripped down her bicep from a nasty cut from Perseus' talons, but she smiled nonetheless. "My," she started, "aren't you a strong one?" Perseus said nothing. He couldn't even if he wanted to; he could barley breathe with the strong fingers swaddled around his neck. Annabeth advanced towards Perseus. He would have backed away but Jason held tight. He flicked his tail in anticipation of what the captain would do to him. Annabeth circled Perseus many times. She examined the scales on his tail fin closely with her fingers, making Perseus shiver. She traced the scales leading up his arms and she held his facial fins with gentle fingers. The crew watched in wonder of the creature. "Beautiful." The captain whispered. "Absolutely beautiful." Perseus grabbed at his neck once again. "Let. Go." He rasped out. Jason looked at the captain for permission before Annabeth nodded warily. As soon as Jason released his grip from the siren's throat, the creature coughed in agony. Perseus scanned his surroundings. With this many people on board, it was very unlikely that he could escape. "Set me free, human." Perseus rasped. His throat burned with every word. Annabeth circled Perseus one more time, not responding. "Leonardo. Franklin." She snapped her fingers. "Bring it below deck with all the cargo. Make sure it won't escape." Two young men stepped forward. One was tall and burly, with Asian facial features. The other one was obviously Latino, sporting a devious smirk. Both of them grabbed one of Perseus' arms and dragged him away; the siren not even putting up a fight. Annabeth faced the rest of the crew. "Maggots, today is a good day. Tonight, we celebrate our glorious capture!" The crew cheered. The captain left for her quarters. Jason didn't move, having conflicted emotions. He felt joy for his crew members and their victory, but couldn't help but feel concerned for the creature that had been taken away his home. *** Only a blurry but bright white dot in the midst of black could be seen through a scummy window. Perseus was chained to one of the walls of the lower deck. He was surrounded by huge crates and one large pile of treasures; rubies and diamonds reflected the little light that had escaped from above. He began to weep, scared of what was to happen to him. Would he be sold to some spoiled princess to keep as a pet? Would he be skinned alive for his beautiful tail? Would he die of starvation on this awful-smelling ship? He would do anything to return back to his warm sunny island; to see Piper and Nicolas again, even if he has to endure their constant reminders of what a failure of a siren he is. Perseus could head the crew dancing and celebrating their capture through the thin planks of wood that separated him from them. Their joyous sounds only led him to weep harder. He was a fool for venturing out to this ship. *** It was very early in the morning; so early that the bright, shining sun still hid behind the horizon. Every single pirate who had common sense was fast asleep. Perseus lay awake in the utter darkness. He wondered if his friends were mourning his disappearance or perhaps searching for him. He was long past the point of crying; he felt as if he had no more water left in him. He began to sing. It consoled him and reminded him that he was still a siren, captive or not. Perseus' voice was horse. Weak. The song had no energy or happiness. He sung of pain and sorrow. It sounded weak to Perseus, but it was strong enough to wake one of the Pirates sleeping above. Entranced, Jason stood up. He could not stop his body from moving to the source of the mesmerizing sound. Perseus' breath hitched when a saw a dark figure lumber toward him. His eyes widened in fear when he saw that the dark figure was the same person who nearly choked him to death earlier. However, Jason was not himself. He walked wobbly with a blank look in his eyes as if he were drunk. He was under the spell of the siren's song. When Percy realized this, he began to sing again; he began to sing more powerful with more sorrow. In his song, he begged Jason to let release him back into the sea. Jason took a step forward about to do as the siren asked. He suddenly stopped, and tried to clear his mind. He knew he was under a spell, he knew he was being used, but he could not resist Perseus' song. The music made Jason fall in love. He could not bear listening to the siren's despair. He wanted to free Perseus, but some little part of him remained unaffected by the spell. That little part kept Jason from immediately setting the siren free. "I-" Jason stuttered, "I want to." Perseus stopped singing. "Then do it. Let me go." "You," Jason paused, "you have to stay with me. If I let you go, you must stay with me." "I will." Perseus said. He was lying. As soon as Jason unlocked his chains, he would jump back into the ocean. Blinded by love, Jason was unable to detect the lie. He rushed forward and grabbed the key to Perseus' bonds which was in Perseus' range of sight yet out of his range of reach. The chains fell to the ground. "I want to see the stars." Perseus said quickly. He wanted to get above deck as fast as he could. "Of course." Jason responded. He picked up the siren and walked up the steps to the main deck. The closer Perseus got to the railing of the ship, the faster his heart beated. Before Jason could even set him down, he flailed himself over the railing. Jason gasped. "You promised!" Jason did not realize how foolish he had been. He was still under the spell and in love. In a desperate attempt to stay with Perseus, he too jumped over the railing and tried to swim toward the siren. Perseus swam too fast; Jason could not keep up. The water was extremely cold and choppy. Within a few minutes, he drowned. Perseus returned to his island. Piper and Nicolas cried with joy at the sight of his return. Never again did Perseus venture out to ships. He always thought about the young man he had killed to escape his own death. *** Hello :3 idk how I feel about the quality of this one. I Loved You From the Start Part 2 (Solangelo)

Part 1

“Let’s go, cupcakes! Double time!” Coach Hedge yelled.

The third period gym class paid no attention to the gym instructor. They either kept walking along the track or they did the shuffle-run, where they jogged so slow that a speed-walker could pass them.

Coach Hedge sighed. “Okay then, let’s make this interesting. The first person to make ten laps doesn’t have to run the next mile and the last ten people to make ten laps have to do fifty push-ups!”

This did nothing but make all the unfit or obese kids pick up their pace a smidge and make all the jocks über-excited. Everyone else kept doing the shuffle-run.

Will had no upper-body strength nor hand-eye coordination, but he was one of the fastest athletes on the track team. Even though he liked running, the opportunity to skip the next mile seemed pretty appealing. Immediately he switched from a shuffle-run to a sprint. Immediately he caught up with all the jocks, which unfortunately included Percy Jackson.

Soon, most of the jocks slowed down for a breather. Most. Percy Jackson still sprinted right along Will. Will didn’t like Percy, and Percy didn’t like Will. Will because Percy broke Nico’s heart and is a total bitch; Percy because Will was the only person in the school who could beat him in a race.

They ran side by side until their eighth lap. Percy started to take longer strides to get a little distance between him and Will. Will did the same thing. They both looked at each other with a death glare; they both intended to win. It wasn’t about not doing the next mile anymore, it was about pride.

Soon it was their ninth lap. They got closer and closer to the ending line on the track. Coach Hedge watched with excitement and curiosity; this was the most interesting smack-down that has happened all week.

Right as Will was about five feet away from the line, Percy kicked the back of his left ankle. Will didn’t fall, but it was enough to make him stumble. Percy passed Will and crossed the finish line with a smug look on his face.

“Hey!” Will shouted. “That wasn’t fair! You cheated!”

“‘That wasn’t fair!’” Percy mocked in a higher pitch. “What are you going to do about it, huh? Are you going to tell on me?”

“That’s enough, boys!” Coach Hedge stepped up. “Solace, I didn’t see any foul play. It seems that Jackson here won fair and square.”

“But Coach!” Will protested.

“Enough!” Coach Hedge faced Will. “I don’t want to hear anymore of you. You boys go get changed. Jackson, you have the option of not doing the next mile.”

“Oh,” Percy grinned, “I’m not going to do it. I’ll watch Solace do it.”

Now, what Will did next was probably the most stupid and rash thing he has ever done. Does he regret it however? Not particularly.

He brushed right passed Coach Hedge and punched Percy square in the jaw.

“Solace!” Coach Hedge yelled. “That was entirely uncalled-”

Wham. Percy shoved Will to the ground. The entire third period gym class gasped. Will rubbed his elbow; Percy rubbed his jaw. Will stood up. The entire third period gym class held their breath.

“Now, now.” Coach said warily. “There is no reason for you boys to-”

Punch. Kick. Punch. Punch. Percy attacked Will with all he got. Will, having no upper-body strength nor hand-eye coordination, laid sprawled out on the ground defenseless to Percy’s anger.

Will and Percy were suspended for one week. Percy left the building with only a light bruise on his jaw. Will however, left with nasty bruises on his ribs, a sprained ankle, and a broken wrist.

Nico was so mad at Will that he didn’t even speak to him the first day Will got back. Will protested that he had every right to punch Percy and that Nico should not be defending him. He mostly did it for Nico anyway!

“That’s no excuse for getting into a fight, Will!” Nico yelled at him. “That might have been the most stupid and rash thing you have ever done!”

Will sighed. “I know. But don’t you think I’ve been punished enough? I got beat up and I missed a whole bunch of school.”

Nico huffed. He calmed down a bit, but was still pretty angry. The two continued their day.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the school. Will collected his things and headed for the door, only to be stopped by a short boy with messy black hair and chocolate brown eyes.

“Nico, look. I said I’m sorry, but if you want me to apologize to that fucktard you’re out of you mind.” Will said.

Nico rolled his eyes. He lifter himself on his tippy toes and placed a small kiss on Will’s lips. Will’s jaw dropped but his heart leaped out of his chest.

“Thanks for watching out for me. I appreciate it.” Nico said softly.

“I, uhh,” Will stuttered, “y-you’re welcome, I guess.”

“You care for me. I was stupid to think Percy did too.” Nico said.

“Um, yeah.” Will said. “Wait, not that you’re stupid or anything. I meant that it was dumb to think Percy would care. Not that you’re dumb or anything!”

Nico laughed. “How long did you like me?”

Will took a deep breath. “Nico di Angelo, I have loved you from the start, and I always will.”

Reynico is literally horrible, homophobic, and terrible.

Thalia x Nico, Rachel x Nico and maybe a few others were straight ships for Nico. None of those were homophobic, they were an idea of what could happen between two characters. Reynico is not taking a jab at homosexuality. It is an opinion of who some people would want Nico to be paired with, regardless of his sexuality. Don’t be an ass about a ship that is different from your own.

Reynico is homophobic. End of the line. No one even shipped reynico until after House of Hades after Nico was CONFIRMED gay. Shipping him with female characters is erasing his sexuality and it’s homophobic. Calling out this homophobia is not being an ass and if you’re offended by this very valid statement then you’re part of the problem.

@artem-ace Part of what problem? The fact that people in this fandom feel the need to go and bash on other ships because it doesn’t respect the character’s personality or it’s not something that person ships?  

Or, if you think I’m homophobic, I can assure you that I am not. Do I agree with everything homosexual people want in life? Not always. But do I hate their guts and ship Reynico because Nico will be with a girl? No. I once did, but now I fully support Solangelo.

I never said that you are homophobic but supporting a homophobic ship that many many queer/LGBT/SGA people have labeled homophobic seems an itty bitty homophobic to me. Just saying.

Also solangelo isn’t a healthy relationship and there are multiple gay men in the fandom I can direct you to that will agree. Shipping solangelo doesn’t make you not homophobic but thanks for the laugh.

Jason is probably the alternative that I’d ship Nico with. Part of me feels like Jason’s judgement switched a bit too quickly for my liking. But it’s not a bad ship. As for Solangelo, I do wish Rick had given Nico more time to heal as I don’t think he’d be out of his shell and in a relationship within six months. I do feel like Nico’s change of mood is sometimes fast-paced but I don’t think he’d alter that quickly.

Actually, I briefly read over something else of theirs. I think if anything, I don’t like when people bash those who ship Reynico or any other ship for that matter. They pointed something out about that I think… I skim read his post. As for my bullshit points… Yeah they probably were. I’ll admit I don’t argue well with people, not that I really enjoy doing so. As for me being homophobic, I still deny that I am. I wasn’t even before I was introduced to Solangelo and/or Tumblr itself. That’s fine if you don’t believe because everyone has their own opinions.

Just because Nico is shipped with a girl does not make the ship homophobic. Who is to say that Reynico was not in fact shipped before Nico was proven gay? In fact, if we were to jump to conclusions (such as the conclusion that Reynico is "homophobic"), we could conclude that Nico could be bisexual or pansexual. It never specified in the books what Nico was. It only conclusion we can actually come to is that Nico is into boys. I'm not saying that Nico is bisexual or pansexual, but I am saying that Reynico is not a homophobic ship, you are being ignorant for thinking so.

A Kiss at One in the Morning

Nico lay in bed next to Will. The chilly Winter air seemed to be unable to penetrate the blanket they snuggled in. Nico's back felt warm; it was pressed up against Will's stomach, his arm draped over Nico. It was after midnight, nearing one in the morning. Nico felt so tired, yet he was unable to fall asleep. He turned around to face Will. "Will?" he asked tentatively. No response. "Will?" he asked again, this time a bit louder. "Hhmyeah?" Will replied groggily. "Are you awake or asleep?" Nico whisper-asked. "I am both awake and asleep." Will whispered back. "I want to kiss you." Nico told him, still whispering. Will opened his eyes somewhat surprised. He whispered, "Right now? Why?" "I don't know. I just want to." Nico quietly admitted. Will smiled and nodded. He shifted so that he was laying on his back. Nico crawled up on top of him, straddling his hips. He learned forward, placing his lips on Will's. Will's arms wrapped around Nico's waist and Nico slid his hands underneath Will's shirt, feeling Will's smooth, hard chest. This continued for a few minutes before Nico rolled off and placed his head on Will's arm. "You're amazing." Will told him. "Why?" Nico asked. "I don't know. You're just amazing. You're an amazing kisser, you have amazing eyes, and you're amazingly adorable." Will kissed the top of Nico's head. "Those things don't mean anything, Will." Nico said. "You're also amazingly loyal. And brave. And kind. And strong." "I have noodle arms." "Not that kind of strong. I mean mentally strong. You persevered through Tartarus and delivering the Athena Parthenos. You may not think it, but to me, you're the most amazing person in the world. I love you." Will told him. Nico smiled. "You remind me of sunshine. Everything about you reminds of of sunshine. You're so helpful and generous and beautiful. I love it when you smile. It makes me feel all mushy inside. I feel safe and protected whenever you're with me. I love you too." "You're a sap." Will said. "You're the sap." Nico replied. Will kissed Nico on the lips. "We're both saps. Now go to sleep." At one in the morning was when Nico fell asleep. *** Sorry for the inactivity! I Loved You From the Start Part 1 (Solangelo)

Will knocked on the door. He awkwardly shifted his backpack on his shoulder as he waited for someone to answer. The doorknob turned. "Hey, Will." It was Nico's sister, Hazel. "He's upstairs... you know." "Thanks." He said as he walked in and rushed up the steps. Stopping after almost tripping over the top step, Will composed himself before knocking on the door to his left. He rapped his knuckles against the wood. "Nico?" The quiet sniffles from inside immediately stopped as if the person inside decided to stop breathing. "I know you're in there. Let me in." "Whart if I don wanna?" Came the muffled response. "I brought the little frosted animal cracker things from Winco." Will said coaxingly. A few silent moments passed before he heard shuffling heading towards the door. When it opened, a very flushed Nico with puffy eyes and tear trails down his cheeks wrapped in a Doctor Who comforter appeared. He took the bag from Will's grasp and walked back to bed where he collapsed and sobbed. Will set his backpack on the floor and then walked over to where Nico was laying and laid himself against the big blanket blob with his chest facing the ceiling. Nico whined in response. "I'm not in the mood, Will." "You're never in the mood, and did that ever stop me?" Quiet bawling was all that Will could hear. He laid there for a few more minutes in an attempt to support his best friend. Nico sniffled from underneath his blanket. "Fine. I'll say it." Will leaned in to hear the sweet words he's been waiting to hear all year long. Nico sniffled again. With a scratchy voice, he whispered, "You were right." and cried some more. Will tried to rub Nico back, which was hard to find considering all the layers underneath him. "You were right, Will! Percy is a douche and he never cared!" Nico wailed. Will still stayed silent and hugged the blanket. He heard Nico crying and eating the cookies at the same time. Will desperately wanted to touch Nico. Cuddle with him. Kiss him. Anything to show his affection to Nico. Affection wasn't even a strong enough word for Will's emotions. Fondness? Desire? Love? Yes, love. Nico had the most strange yet amazing affect on Will that made his insides turn to sludge. Nico made Will's heart beat so hard and fast that sometimes Will felt like it was going to skyrocket away from his chest. When Will discovered that he liked boys, the more and more he longed to be near Nico. It wasn't until Nico started dating Percy Jackson last year that Will realized just how much he loved him. Of course, life had to be a female dog and Nico was completely oblivious to Will's feelings. Nico sobs were the most sickening sounds Will have ever heard. Anything that made his precious little cherry cupcake cinnamon roll with a purple grape flavored candy skull on top cry was something that Will had to knee in the groin. Percy Jackson better watch out tomorrow. Percy Jackson. Perseus. Fucking. Jackson. He had this astonishing, unbelievable ability to piss off Will just by being in the same room as him. Even before he started dating Nico, Percy's "careless, play-boy, I don't give a fuck about life" attitude make Will want to slap him upside the head. Yet, Nico fell in love with his extremely defined facial features, sea-green eyes, and raven-black hair anyway. Will could never compete with a hunk like that. Will crawled into the comforter alongside Nico. Will silently debated wether to put his arm around Nico. Will didn't have to debate for long because Nico turned towards him shoved his face into Will's shoulder, still sobbing. Even though Will was on the verge of tears himself from seeing Nico in so much pain, he was content enough that he was able to comfort and snuggle with Nico. *** Idk about this one.

An Awkward Encounter (Solangelo)

Nico opened the door to Starbucks, escaping the frigid air outside. He immediately felt the feeling in his frozen toes start to come back. Starbucks was very crowded, which was something that didn't happen very often. Nico would know, he came here almost every morning before school. Nico stepped in line. He waited for about fifteen minutes before actually getting to order; twice as long as he usually waits. "Good morning, what can I get you?" Said the cashier hurriedly, trying to get through the line as fast as possible. He had golden hair with sky blue eyes; Nico recognized him from a couple of his classes. "Um, a grande chai latte please." Nico replied, counting his money and handing it to the cashier, already knowing what the price would be from ordering the drink so many times before. The cashier smiled, knowing that the customer would get the exact same thing as yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before that. Nico moved out of line towards the waiting area so that the cashier could take the next order. He felt awkward just standing around. Nico looked around the room and accidentally made eye contact with the blond cashier. He chuckled at Nico's awkward stance, making Nico blush. "One grande chair latte!" The cashier called out, sliding the cup towards Nico. "Enjoy your drink!" he said cheerily. Now, Nico didn't know the cashier's name. The two boys shared three classes together, yet Nico was pretty sure that the cashier didn't know his name either. Nico found himself somewhat attracted to the blond, yet he didn't pay much attention to his petty crush until last week, when the blond starting working at Starbucks. Instead of ordering coffee every morning, Nico had to adjust his usual routine to ordering coffee every morning from his crush without stuttering, blushing, or doing something else that would make him look like an idiot. In the split second that the cashier and Nico made eye contact during the exchange of coffee, Nico had the most ultimate brain fart which resulted with him replying... "I love you too." The cashier's ears reddened yet he kept a black face. Nico didn't process what he said until a silent, awkward five seconds later. The cashier was just as shocked as Nico. He couldn't believe what he just said. What the hell!? Nico internally thought. What the fuck did you just say!? Not letting the cashier say anything or allowing time for Nico to do something even more embarrassing, Nico grabbed his drink and rushed out of Starbucks. He dreaded school today as he was going to have to see the cashier again. The next morning, Starbucks wasn't as crowded. Nico debated wether or not to even order coffee this morning to avoid the cashier, but then he realized that without coffee, Nico would basically be a brain-dead zombie for the rest of the day. Just as Nico dreaded, the cashier was behind the register, waiting to take the next order. He saw Nico, and smiled a cheeky smile and his ears slightly reddened. "Uh, hey." He said. "What can I get for you?" As if he already didn't know. "Grande chai latte, please." Nico muttered, trying to avoid as much talking as possible. He handed the cashier the money. As the cashier handed Nico a receipt, he began to say, "Um, about yesterday-" "Please, forget that anything happened." Nico cut him off, ultimately embarrassed. "I don't know what happened, I just kind of spoke without thinking. You know?" The cashier smiled. "Actually, I was, uh, going to ask for your number. Since you're in some of my classes and you've been coming for a while now, I would kinda like to talk outside of Starbucks..." He trailed off. If Nico wasn't already red, now he was redder than a strawberry. His crush wanted his number? This is your chance! Don't fuck it up! His brain told him. "Uh, yeah. I would like that." Nico stuttered awkwardly yet happily. "I'm Nico." The cashier blushed furiously (which was totally cute, in Nico's opinion.) "I'm Will."
